2022 FIRST OIL CHANGE

need a OE part number for a oil filter and i believe it calls for 10w30?

Oil Filter M0-285 PN: 5083285AA (same since ‘89)
Fleetguard Stratapore LF16035

Rear fuel filter MO-867 PN: 68436631AA

Front fuel filter MO-291 PN: 68157291AA
AKA Fleetguard Fuel Filter FS53000

Air 53034051AB (old) 68517554AA (new)
WIX 46930
Fleetguard AF27684

Cabin filter 68406048AA

Shell Rotella T6 5w/40 full synthetic.

Valvoline Blue 5w/40

10W30 oils that meet the spec for >0F

Fleetguard LF16035
Engine oil
2019+ models
Ambient temp > 0° FSAE 10W-30 API CK-4
Recommend Amsoil Max Duty 10W-30 synthetic diesel oil
All ambient tempsSAE 5W-40 API CK-4 full synthetic
Recommend Amsoil Max Duty 5W-40 synthetic diesel oil

Just FYI, that data is not official MOPAR/RAM data.

The oil spec is correct, but Amsoil is not an "endorsed" oil.

Only Mopar and Rotella are endorsed by Ram.

Cummins also endorses and recommends Valvoline Premium Blue (and is believed to be the factory fill) (CES 20081).

I'm due for a change soon. The first change kicked my tail trying to get the filter out without spilling anything. I need to buy one of those end caps that thread onto the filter before I change it this time. I tried without it the first time and it was pretty messy.

Gallon ziplock bag helps too.

haha, i tried that. It was all good until it was time to pull the dang filter through the tiny hole in the wheelwell. That caused the mess. tore a hole in the ziplock and oil went everywhere. Luckily I learned long ago to either do this in an area where oil spills aren't a concern, and to use large cardboard sheets under the vehicle too.

@Brutal_HO is 68406048AA really the right P/N for the '22? This filter seems to fit much older models while in the '22 MY RAM introduced a "New Air Filtration System" for the 2500/3500. I thought this was just an updated charcoal activated cabin air filter.

I haven't seen any other PN listed.

Rockauto is usually pretty accurate and easier to find part on and that's the number they list as OE for all replacements.

If there's a different number, I don't have it so if you find one, please share it.

I don’t have the part number but the ‘22’s did get a new cabin air filter with N95 media.

I don’t believe the size changed thou, so it should be backwards compatible with the non-N95 filters.

Yea, I couldn't find the new P/N either which is what lead me to the forums. I'll keep searching and report back if I find it.

...I suppose I could just get the P/N off of my current filter.

I just changed my cabin air filter. I used a CP671/CF11671 and it fits perfect.

The OEM part number for the ‘22 is 68548579AA. It’s listed as superseding 68406048AB.

You have a '22? If so, when you pulled the original, did it have P/N 68548579AA printed on it?
