Re-Ordered My 2020 Ram 3500 HO Laramie Longhorn

I just got back home from visiting my dealer and getting the tpms installed on my trailer by local tire shop. $15.00 each installed but his unit they use was old would not see them. He also thought they might be paired already to the truck seeing they came with the truck. I guess I will figure this out later after I take delivery of truck.

The Possession date of the vehicle has been changed from Thursday to Friday around mid day now due to the following reasons.

They order the bed step for the 1500 instead of the 3500. New one should be in sometime Thursday.

The 2 additional KeyFobs came in but they couldn't program it as FCA doesn't have the VIN or Key or Keyfob codes in their system yet. (Usually takes 30 days after build to populate in their system). Parts manager called someone with FCA to try to the the VIN information populated in their computer sooner. Hopefully they will have this resolved by Friday he said.

Also they were unable to make computer changes to the vehicle for me for same reason mentioned above.

It looks like the truck got delivered before their computers got updated... LOL

Im curious if they can fix the rear view camera recall yet or if its to soon. They said notices would go out on May 22nd. I'm also gonna ask my sm, ( since we talk every day an it seams like were practically friends by now) when they check the rear view camera recall if they can program my aux camera button to stay on, probably not I'm sure. Hey by the way, how are they able to get a hold of a retractable step for you

You’re a patient guy, after all you’ve been through keepin’ it calm. Hang in there, hopefully it all works out. They definitely owe you some kind of tribute for continuing to do business with them.

Four sure, you no I couldn't stay that calm. I told my wife if ours comes in damage I'm just walking away to breath an think, just don't know if I can go through that again. I mean I know they try to make it right by adding some extra options for you. To be honest, i can't really think of anything else id want, unless there willing to change mine from Laramie to limited with all the same options, but that's about 6k more so I highly doubt that. There not making much on me to begin with. I just don't know

So would that make sense then, that at 1900 rpm the 410 is 6 mph faster than the 373. I would of thought it would of been slower at the same rpm. This is what I have.
1: 4.10
2: 2.0
3: 1.34
4: 1.0
5: 0.77
6: 0.63
R: 3.54

AS69RC gear ratios:

1 3.750
2 2.000
3 1.340
4 1.000
5 0.770
6 0.630

Ok, got another one for you. Did yours have a chrome tip pipe, so I can take mine out of the cart

It is definitely not chrome, I think it is SS, Aluminum or Galvanized, Not sure and Not polished. Chrome of Black tip is on my list of things to get later. However I do want mine to stick out 2 to 4 inches more in case the is any soot coming out it won't be as likely to attach itself to the painted parts of the vehicle. I had this problem on my 2006 model.

I'm sure the new exhaust is all a single welded piece an the muffler tip is not just bolted on for easy removal an that I'll have to break out the old hack saw. Am I correct on that or are we going to luck out an easy on easy off

So on the 410,
The same speed has a higher rpm
The same rpm has a slower speed
What did you put for shift point, i put 2100, i think its normally between 19 & 21

There isn't a "tip", it's just a single tube continuing out of the silencer body. You can buy a tip that slides over that though.

If I am not mistaken, It is one pipe with NO welded on tip. My 2006 Ram I had a Polished SS tip, 4" inlet, 5" outlet and 14" long with an Angled Rolled end. On my 2020, I'm not sure or the tail pipe diameter yet but will be doing something similar 15" to 18" Long in either Polished or Black. Not sure yet. (See Pictures Below of 2006 truck)

BTW, the tire size on my old truck is 265-70-17, Same height as the 31" tall OEM 235-80-17 tires but wider. I plan on putting 255-80-17 on the new 2020 which will be 2 inches taller and about 1 inch wider than the OEM, making it a 33 inch tall tire. These should fit stock wheels without rubbing as well with some gap left between the Dual Rear Wheels.

It's hard to imagine not being able to see the clamp, i definitely don't want to see the hardware just the nice tip. That increase in tire size will be a nice incremental difference in height with out giving up to much gear ratio

Did you get the sun roof on yours

Nope! In my opinion, there is always a chance of the leaking, it makes the interior of the vehicle hotter in my opinion and I don't like the sun in my face when driving. Always something else that could brake. Also keeps the arguing down between Wife and me as to whether to open it or not....
