Re-Ordered My 2020 Ram 3500 HO Laramie Longhorn

Probably so, but it is going to be changed tomorrow. My limiter will be max engine RPM limiter before I sign papers.
I know you know this, and I am not at all opposed to your feelings on nanny devices, as I hate them too, but for others who may have Bonneville aspirations, remember these LT tires have a fairly low speed rating.

You know, they just took advantage of the lower highway police presence to set a new Cannonball record in an Audi to top the one recently made in the Mercedes, you could maybe try for a special truck class record. Think about it...

I'm all in, cannonball run gen 4.5

Updare : 24 hour test drive before I take delivery

Well, I couldn't wait. I dropped by the dealer to get the loan app started and I got a chance to take the new truck on a 24 hour test drive. I will be returning the truck tomorrow morning and return some signed papers.

The Bed step is in and the 2 additional keyfobs are as well. They will be installing then tomorrow. I will be spending some time with my friend in service while he is doing some changes in the truck computer for me to make sure it is the way I want it. I will be returning to the dealership Thursday morning to finalize the deal.

During my test drive today I wasn't able to find out what the speed limiter is set to as I did reach a speed o just over 110 mph and it was still pulling strong before I let off of it.
The Engine ran extremely smoothie and did not sound like my old Diesel as it was very quiet.
No bumps or knocking of any kind even in turns and on rough roads.
The fit and finish was very good and the cab and bed alignment was great, however the tailgate hangs for about 3 or 4 seconds after you hit the release before it folds down the rest of the way.
I didn't find any problems yet with the 12 inch display unit. This is definitely going to be a learning curve with this.

So far, I am very pleased with everything. I will post more pictures after I sign the papers and take delivery.

Here are some pictures of the Old meeting the New before I retire Big Red Thursday.
Hey man, by any chance, do you recall if your 4 door sill plates are the chrome foot plates that say ram. I'm thinking that probably comes standard but I have them in my cart an i just want to make sure before I order or not

Here is a Picture before the truck went through Dealers Prep, they still has the protective film on. I hope this helps.

Ok Everyone, No Racing with this truck. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't castrated to bad in case I ever have to chase someone down....

Fast hemi excitement has me jumping the gun. I hope I don't get my heart broke but I just cleaned out my trade truck. Dealer seams to think it will be here by this weakened an said my chrome steps arrived this morning. Fingers crossed

I wouldn't be surprised if yours does show up by the weekend Rich, My dealership says my truck should be to the railhead in NY by the end of the week. so yours offloaded and trucked by then makes sense.

Sound good for all of to maybe get some closure soon. Sounds like we have been on any up an down relationship rollercoaster. Lol. Mine only has to go from railhead in New Orleans to Arkansas , so no big trip there. I just hope mine stays contamination free coming from Louisiana. I'm afraid to ask them to sterilize it when it comes in because who knows what they will wipe it down with. It did say that it goes through detail, so hopefully whatever they do is good enough. I just picture them taking hand sanitizer to my leather seats.

anybody have a good hack out there to be able to tell if they actually put the 410 gear on your truck. Obviously I know window sticker an gvwr 14,000. But I have heard a few horror stories out there even though there rare. Like on the aisin the oil dip stick is on the rt vs the rfe being on the left. Any good hack out there or just a leap of faith

If you are over 2k rpms at 75mph you have 4.10s w/AISIN trans. I have 3.73s and am sitting right at 1900 rpms.

Here's a fun calculator to play with to see the difference between the 3.73s and 4.10s.

Awesome hack an great info, thanks carl

Update : The truck finally hit the ground at my dealers lot.

Earlier today I got a wild hair and went by my dealers lot even though they were closed. Look what I found sitting on their lot with the doors unlocked and no keys to be found.

Hopefully I will be taking delivery in the next few days if the have the extras they agreed to put on when it arrived.

I will post better pictures once I take delivery. I the mean time, enjoy these pre-delivery pictures :

P.S. I'm sure Mark @RamCares will be glad it came in. Thanks again Mark !

Edited: added P.S. statement
Great looking truck, hopefully it’s yours !! The Longhorn is my favorite trim level, great color combo, looks like should be on an advertisement for Ram trucks. I saw your door sticker, you have cargo capacity to tow pretty much anything you want. Nice truck I hope it works out for you this time.

Think I might be figuring it wrong. The 373 at 76mph shows 1900. The 410 at 70 shows 70mph. Also stupid question, the diff ratio is your low tractor gear correct

There will be a tag on the rear diff.

You can get your build sheet which gives much more detail than the window sticker.

You can do the RPM at speed.

The 4.10 is your diff ratio.

Each gear than has a multiplier.

And then if you have a 4wd, 4 low then has another multiplier.

The best tractor gear would be the 4.10 in 1st gear on 4 low.

So would that make sense then, that at 1900 rpm the 410 is 6 mph faster than the 373. I would of thought it would of been slower at the same rpm. This is what I have.
1: 4.10
2: 2.0
3: 1.34
4: 1.0
5: 0.77
6: 0.63
R: 3.54

Ok, i did a fat finger flub up. I did do it backwards. The 410 is in fact slower at 1900 rpm than the 373 by 6 mph. Duhhhh

Ok, got another one for you. Did yours have a chrome tip pipe, so I can take mine out of the cart
