The Alliance folks have been great, just had a few issues and they resolved them quickly. We had looked at the 390MP before deciding on the 385FL, but thought the bunk room was not as useful for us as our kids are all grown now. Payload was a concern, truck rated payload is just over 3,900#. Weighed at a Love's and it looks like fully loaded with passengers, pets and gear we are sitting at 3,758#. The large storage bay in the rear of the 385FL has allowed me to put heavier items (Ebikes, grill, etc.) behind trailer axle and remove some weight from the hitch. It was also a reason I went with the GenY hitch instead of a fifth wheel. If we need to boondock and fill our fresh tank up, somethings going to have to go, if it's a very long drive. We wanted a 385FL when we bought our 390MP. Might still have it if we had bought the 385 instead. Loved the Alliance RV folks, though, and thoroughly miss them. That is a lot of trailer on a SRW for sure.
