2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I just found out my truck went KZOG in 8/31. I don't know what to do.

There is one person that has been waiting on their 5500 Cab and Chassis since 8/17/21. (thanks brv10 for that info).
When that truck gets delivered, I will have a toast to their patience!

We are all anxiously waiting for our trucks.
It is convoluted/frustrating, but in the end rewarding (at least that is what everyone that has received their trucks has mentioned on this site).

I also have a large deposit on mine at the dealership. I actually traded in my 2018 RAM 3500 at the time of signing (I am fortunate that I have something else I can drive while waiting).

Sounds like you ordered a nice RAM.

Go to page 1 of this thread, and there is a spreadsheet of all our builds, you can add your build.
It is nice to see what others have ordered and find out you are not the only one is this boat.
Sorry, but I have yours beat. Ordered Oct.12, 2021. Ordering dealer has not been helpful at all. Receiving has limited info, but atleast they try. Would like to be contacted by that Class action atty.

Ram tracker says estimated delivery 10/19. My dealer says 9/20-9/30. It will be interesting to see which is correct. Still no picture on the tracker, at this point I’ll take anything they send me. :p6CABB901-45DA-4DF0-AB27-67E56B67DAFE.png

My 3500 DRW Longhorn Limited order was confirmed on 2/26/22 and has not shipped. Congratulations! I think the major frustration with most everyone is the lack of communication from FCA. Why the delay with particular trucks that are equipped similar to trucks that are shipped sooner? I have spoken to many people who say the dealers are still claiming 16-20 week delivery times on orders.

It sounds to me like you need to get in contact with either your dealer principal or a higher up from FCA to get the ball moving. If its built and waiting, id be making a strong case for my dealer principal to hire a hot shot to go down and pick it up specifically.

As if dealers are the pinnacle of truth and honesty.

I ordered 2-21, built 4-28, KZLD ever since. Our son ordered the last week of July and got his in August. Makes no sense.

Look on the bright side, decent chance your truck was hail damaged and might even have a faulty ECU that needs replaced. :D Mine seems to have caught both.

You boys sure got the short end of the stick on those builds. I understand covid and shortages on parts etc. but at this point if its still not delivered and some people are seeing 2 month turn arounds on late model 22s Id be expecting some hefty discounts from FCA and my dealer to keep me as a customer. Especially if honoring trade in values are concerned.

I did not sign up with the attorney because I thought I would give them at least 8 months to deliver my truck, even though I was told 16-20 weeks when ordering. My order was processed on 2/26. The attorney's extensive research did provide some interesting information that might be helpful to people on this forum, both potential purchasers and buyers with late deliveries. It is apparent from his research that Mexican cartel, weather damage, missing key, and missing and defective part (EMC, chip) delays are much more prevalent then the dealers and FCA are telling people. They are afraid to be honest that the AVERAGE delivery time for a fully optioned HD truck is actually 7 months not the 16-20 the dealers/FCA are quoting as not to lose sales. This dishonestity results in customers experiencing significant $ damages like I outlined in my original post. He has clients whose trucks were stolen or damaged beyond repair and the buyers are not notified for an extensive amount of time that they will be required to reorder. I do want to make it clear and do not want to sound like a "Karen" that the majority of trucks are delivered satisfactorily to customers, but FCA needs to be honest about the delay issues involved in the ordering process. And, should be addressing these issues by improving, especially their communication process. A legal notice was sent to FCA's agent last week regarding the pending class action. I will post the response.

I think FCA not disclosing to a buyer that their truck was damaged (hail, cartel, etc) while sitting at the factory, is akin to selling a vehicle that was involved in a road collision, and not disclosing it. Replacing parts is no different than it having been in a good quality body shop. They should at least give the buyer a choice to accept a repaired vehicle, or reorder.

Also, they're sitting on millions of dollars worth of unsold inventory with these trucks just sitting at the factory. I just don't understand why they aren't explaining to customers exactly why they're sitting, and giving us the info we'd need to put pressure on the freight companies that transport them from the factory. Couple thousand people blowing up the railroad's phone lines daily and/or threats of legal action might get things moving no?

Having my truck sitting at the factory (fully built) as long as I was originally quoted for the whole process, has really worn my patience thin....

Sorry for the rant

I don't think they care. In my case probably a '23 is $3k more now configured the same. Most of us that ordered received a decent discount. If we cancel they not only get the deposit but will put them on the lot likely with a mark above MSRP.

At least we didn't try to order a Ford. Some of those guys have been waiting well over a year too.

Thats the hard part in this situation dosent seem to matter where you go. Father inlaw ordered a 22 gm at4 3/4 ton and it took 11 months. When i test drove an f450 just entirely for interest sake. when i got back to discuss numbers dealer told me they halted production on 450/550s. Not that i could bring myself to buy a ford anyway.

I feel some sympathy for ram for sure, owning my own business as well i felt the crunch of covid from a supply chain as well as massive price increase for materials.

From what i can tell mid to late model rams have been heading out at a much more reasonable rate, however no excuse for a built truck to sit at the factory for months. Being we pay upwards of 3000$ for “destination” we or the dealer should have the option to hire a hot shot or another trucking company to pick up completed trucks

Dangit, I am destined not to have the surround view I guess. I ordered a 2019, made sure I had the surround view... also ordered the tow package. Come to find out when you order the tow package the 2019 tow mirrors did not have cameras and it cancelled the surround view.
Mine didn't have the option for it anymore, I would have to go to a higher or lower trim than the big horn. Tradesman or Limited and both of those were no-go's for me. So I did some research and it is possible to add the feature pretty much at the same cost after delivery.

so I have the BSM and surround view in the queue, will start looking for parts soon.

Very cool, glad to hear that. I may go the same direction

I hear ya I was sentenced to life I think without knowing… I’m at 131 days since being built with no truck and no answers haha
