Convex Main Mirror Upgrade?

Quick update and bump. I apologize for the delay in this.

Emailed back and forth over the last couple of days. He wanted rough measurements.

I resent the part numbers, sent him some pictures of the glass and the back to show how it mounts, and I sent him an ebay link to a cheap piece of OEM glass.

He is going to order the eBay piece and reverse engineer the plastic mounting bracket and electrical connections.

Still waiting on the purchase link.
 
I’d be interested in some better mirrors.
As a note my last 2500 (2017) had the old sport package which had black non tow mirrors. Much better for daily driving without a trailer. You could always source those and swap them out.
 
PreOrder placed. Defroster + BSM, no blue(my windows are already pretty dark)

Edit: a couple further comments/ramblings about why I didn’t choose the blue/anti glare coating:
1) A quick Google search turned up results that people that bought Suma mirrors found the blue coating too dark/ difficult to see out of especially if you already have side window tint
2) they claim the blue filters out the other colors of light which cause most glare…but isn’t this the opposite of what we normally hear? Blue light filter app on phone/computer…blue light filter glasses… etc
3) OEM anti glare mirrors are typically unTinted and only dim when there is a bright light source on it
4) my truck is tall enough I rarely get glare from vehicles behind.

Ordered! I went for the blue, but it was tough decision. I don’t plan to tint the windows and do miss the auto dim of my 1500…. Not sure I’ll like the look though
 
Is this for both mirrors (4 mirrors total) or only the outside convex mirrors? If its only the convex everyone might want to rethink the color option, you will have one blue and one regular mirror.

They replace the main/large flat glass only with new pieces that is slightly convex. Stock outer convex mirrors are retained.
But yeah great point, the blue will not be matched with the factory convex outer mirrors

On a side note, Boost Auto Parts sells heated outer convex mirrors…I highly recommend them if your main glass is heated, they are plug and play
 
I went with the blue even though it will be mismatched. I've seen them in person on some Fords and the blue is a little over stated on the website photos imo. For me it's all about glare control with the idiots around the San Antonio area that think 55w 8000k cheapo HID's or those fleabay special glare monster LED bulbs in their mid 90s reflectors are cool. My spotters don't glare too bad when folded down, but man that main glass when one of those asshats is behind you is horrid even with tinted windows.

I hope they did their due diligence on the mounting…looking at BAPs replacement flat glass there are 2 types of OEM mounting

This replacement glass is compatible with aftermarket & OEM 4th and 5th Generation style tow mirrors for Dodge Ram trucks. This is the upper/inner flat glass. All of our glass comes equipped with the heater/defrost element.

I doubt it, since I sent them the part numbers and pictures. When I was researching part numbers on the MOPAR sites, the only difference in part numbers were: no defrost / BSM, with defrost, and with defrost + BSM. Of course, I only looked up part numbers for the 2019-current generations. I wonder if the motor difference is for the 4th gen mirrors....
 
I have preordered. Really only wanted the passenger side but oh well.
