2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

Not sure how the Ram tracking google spread sheet gets updated but according to that list mine has been in paint since 7/27. Must be a great all white paint job. The Ram tracker says built but nothing on shipping. Best to ignore it all, expect at least 4 months and maybe much longer and hope for a call from dealer as a pleasant surprise. The more one obsesses the longer it seems to take. All could go perfectly right up to the time it falls off the delivery truck
Hello sir, updates come from yourself on the thread, or every so often we have a kind soul that goes thru the sheet and provides updates on pending orders. It is all volunteer-based work. if you check the tracker and you have a new update let us know. you can post here or make a comment on the sheet, Column U.

My local sales manager didn't say I was getting scammed, but he did say it was impossible to sell at those prices. I told him they must move enough volume to make it back in sales incentives/bonuses. His reply was that they'd have to move 11,000 units a month to make any money!
I think @pacnw1963 or someone else has gone thru this exercise and seen some round numbers that play and jive with the pricing/rebates/bonus available. IIRC it's a small physical operation in terms of staffing, but they are doing something very well. there is a lot of positive feedback.

Thanks, wasn’t sure how that update occurred. I will keep you informed.

Well it finally happened. Me delivery date pushed back from 8/22 to 9/5. So far I haven't had any other dates move around so I was hoping it would be accurate

I think I saw something on here or maybe Aaron told me they did something like 600 units this month. Much more than my local large dealers have been. It's almost like if you don't charge thousands over MSRP people will buy from you.

ABSOLUTELY!

That is exactly the words my salesman used! But I will say they did give me about 5% off MSRP before I got the quote from MD. When I showed them that, he laughed at me, and said I was getting scammed, would never see the truck ...
As you've seen on here, plenty of people driving their Mark or Granger or Koons (might have missed one) trucks around. Hell, I'll post a picture of mine with my ass in the seat and a smile on my face and $12k in my pocket!

Alright Folks, here we go on weekly update ;-), Apologies for the delay
Happy to see some movement on the Build of last year is almost all caught up (7 out of 960 pending, 99.3% complete) 7 Pending Delivery and 2 Pending build (54 canceled orders also play a part in the overall situation)
(942 (924 already delivered + 14 pending delivery + 4 Pending build) is a more realistic number for 2021)

Overall numbers from last week (Pretty good week) with overall completion rates
9 more orders added
22 Built - Overall 96.6% complete total (currently sitting at 52 units left to build) - Rome wasn't built in a day ;-)
10 Delivered - Overall 78.2% complete total (currently sitting at 329 units left to deliver) -71 total canceled orders - this week it was mostly organic movement overall. @brv10 did his thing as usual.

More metrics/analysis for the data freaks (completion rates with qtys pending)
2021 - (7 out of 960 pending Build, 99.3% complete), delivery is at 97.3% (26 out of 960 waiting for shipping) - 26 is an amazing number, even more amazing is 55 orders are canceled overall, some show delivered others don't.
Q2-May and June of 2021 are 100% built, delivery is at 98.0% (4 out of 198 waiting for shipping) - the 4 that are not shipped are canceled ordered - 15 total canceled orders- we can now count Q2 2021 100% completed
Q3-July, Aug, and Sep of 2021 are almost 100% FULLY Built, and delivery is at 98.7% (5 out of 375 waiting for shipping) - 15 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q4-Oct, Nov, and Dec of 2021 Build is at 98.2% (7 out of 387 pending), Delivery started to rear its ugly head (but its almost there), is at 95.6% (17 out of 387 waiting for shipping) - 25 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown - should put build at 100% as well and delivery even more complete

2022 - (45 out of 550 pending Build, 91.8% complete), delivery is at 45% (303 out of 550 waiting for shipping) - 16 Canceled Orders
Q1-Jan, Feb, and March of 2022, Build is at 98.6% (6 out of 419 pending), Delivery continues with challenges, 53.2% (196 out of 419 waiting for shipping) - 12 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q2-April, May, and June of 2022, Build is at 75.2% (30 out of 121 pending), Delivery is at 19.8% (97 out of 121 waiting for shipping) - 4 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q3-July, Aug of 2022, Build is at 10% (9 out of 10 pending), Delivery is at 0% (10 out of 10 waiting for shipping)

Let me know if any other metrics should/could be evaluated., Red comments are changes in numbers/counts, Green comments are general comments. Yellow comments are unedited/updated and passed on from the last post. White and no change from last week.

Some positive movement this week and little by little getting closer to the finish line. If the production line does get reset in October. There is still 1 month of production (5 weeks). so overall I think the timing is still in play and that MY22 completion is still feasible. We are at 52 on the sheet left to build even at 10 units a week, its feasible to be complete at this rate.

Thank you for the lift again @brv10 and @OfficerDirtySanchez

And that is your local sales manager either not understanding a terrific business model, or is clueless. MD sells 500+ vehicles per month (when I picked up my truck from them on 8/15, I was told they were already at 550 and it was only the middle of the month). They get "dealer hold-back" from the manufacturer for each unit sold, usually $1,500+. Using just 500 vehicles, sold at cost, with dealer hold back, they gross $750,000 for the month. So I think they are making an incredible amount of money, and not doing it by selling 11,000 vehicles a month. If it didn't work, they would not be doing it, and yet they were just awarded the first FCA dealership to sell a vehicle in all 50 states.

I think it's mainly a case of trying to discredit so snag a deal. We were just there to test drive a Wagoneer for my wife and he tried to get me to cancel my order 2 or 3 times, told me I wouldn't see my truck until December, and that no way was I getting the price I'm getting.

You are probably correct.

I went to 4 different dealerships. The 1st one acted like I was not serious about ordering (and waiting) for the truck I wanted. Quoted me nearly 10k over MSRP.

The second dealer I went to, had a truck on their lot, so I called to make sure it existed, and they said yes. So, I drove to their lot and was then told "the sales manager took it FISHING FOR THE WEEKEND!" (I had actually bought my 2018 RAM 3500 from them in 2017). My response "WELL, YOU JUST LOST MY BUSINESS".
Both of these dealers are near the Atlanta, GA area.

So, I decided to check out my local dealers in Alabama.

Called 2 dealers on Monday 5/15/2022. Sent both salesmen my on-line build.
30 minutes later one dealer emailed me back a POC and price.
2 days later I still hadn't heard from the other dealer, so I contacted them and finally got a price from them.
They were within about $100.00 apart in price. Neither dealer priced the truck in a manner that they were trying to retire off of my purchase.

Signed with the dealer who answered within 30 minutes on 5/19/2022 and told the other Alabama dealer they were too slow (They were actually located only 10 minutes from my house).

Overall, I signed with the dealer that wanted my business, treated me with respect, and fairness.

Ram tracker says it's built. No window sticker yet. There was an ETA of October 16th while in production, but now it's TBD.

I received an email from Granger Motors letting me know the truck was built with a KZLD status. Delivery is TBD. They are saying it's "intransit-delayed". I've seen this code listed as departing mixing yard, delayed, and long delay. Anyone have recent experience of being in this status? How long before it actually shipped?

Ditto: Built, original delivery 9/20 now TBD. Called dealer, status KZLD. He said possible recall they are fixing before release. No idea what delay that might result in.

At least your dealership is giving you updates. Mine just tells me they dont get updates. It shows up when it shows up. only info I have is what the tracker shows. Built but TBD on shipping!

There are so many “if’s” it’s beyond comprehension. KZLD generally means it’s in line to catch the train. It kind of depends where they put you in the yard to line up for the train. I was built, then spent 58 days JB at the outside vendors before finally going KZLD. I guess they felt sorry for me and I was on a train 4 days later and rolling. I have seen some sit KZLD for 3+ months. They are generally going to put all of the Granger orders on the same car, or at a minimum with other vehicles that are dropping along the same route.

You won’t get a delivery date until it’s on a train and rolling, it will stay TBD.

That’s all I know, and it ain’t much

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. Reading back through the forums I haven't found any set pattern for any part of the order and shipping process. Getting it sooner rather than later seems like its based purely on luck.

As others have said, lots of variables. For me, my original delivery date turned out to be within a day or so of when it shipped. From then it took another 3 weeks to hit the dealer lot. Mine only showed that date for about a day after the truck was built then it went TBD. I could still see the date in the inspect function on the tracker site. Kinda leads me to believe that was the est shipping date.
