TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

Just because it’s a great feature we were all sold on last March-May and still want it. I feel lucky that they had to order 3 trucks for me to get it all right and this is the last thing I hope is on this one that I got in October. I have the Aux camera setup so hoping I do have the TTPMS.

Looks like I'll be getting my TTPMS sensor tomorrow also, but I won't be able to do much with it until i get a Uconnect update to enable the TTPMS menus...

You do know there are 4 time zones in the US right?

I'm also not out taking pics after midnight.

I should clarify this is the TTPMS RECEIVER not a TPMS sensor...

Also i keep forgetting to ask, if anyone who actually HAS TTPMS system from the factory wouldn't mind PMing me their VIN, I can pass it on to Benny @ AllMoparParts and he can use the VIN to find out exactly what part numbers we need for the TTPMS system.
 
So this part plugs in under the bumper into the one slot, then we have to order sensors for the tires, update or flash radio then good to go??

Correct, this is the part that plugs in between the bumper and the spare tire.

The Jury is still out if our trucks all come with the TIM (Trailer Interface Module) behind the headliner in the back of the cab, @brutal should be able to let us know once he gets his TTPMS receiver module installed and see if it works.

If your truck came with a factory 8.4 or 12" Uconnect, I don't think you'll need a flash, I only need a flash because my radio is a retrofit that came out of an older 2019 Ram 1500 with firmware that predates the TTPMS feature. I'm pretty positive any HD trucks that came with these radios from the factory should have firmware that supports the TTPMS, but I can't confirm that.

Have you tried checking/pushing the update from the Uconnect app or web site?

Only once have I seen anything odd happen with this version, my only version AFAIK since picking the truck up 3-10, and that was last night when the screen went dark (backlight still on) unexpectedly. I don't think I touched anything, but pushing the screen off button twice brought it back.

Yea I'm 99% sure the Uconnect update webpage is just for show and doesn't actually work, I've put the donor truck VIN number in there several times and it always says my Uconnect is up to date, which i know is not true based on software version in it. Several other people have reported the same thing, and others including myself have tried dozens of VIN's off Autotrader hunting for an update, and it always says they're up to date. I think this whole keeping the firmware under lock & key has to do with that whole thing a few years ago where it was all over the news that all Chrysler products with Uconnect systems could be relatively easily hacked... Either way it's stupid to keep the firmware behind all these walls, I've heard from ford guys that the Sync Firmware versions are all easily accessible for download all over the internet.
 
Well, no big surprise here. This is typical of just about everything I get from USPS that's due on a Friday by 8PM, it's not just the Rona.

USPS delivered mine today.

Pulled the plug you see in the pics from the harness connector and plugged it up.

Still showing "Service System..."

My fear is that even though the option is enabled in the BCM and shows in the EVIC and Uconnect, there's code missing to make it work. Which would be odd since pretty much every other add on option seems to work once it's plugged in and enabled in the BCM. I also found a TTPM setting under the Chassis Cab options but setting that didn't help.

I DO NOT have the Chrysler TPM sensors so I'm trying to pair my Tireminder 433Mhz sensors. I removed one from the TM system but nothing is pairing up.

I'm going to disable it for a while until it drops from the Uconnect trailer menu and try to re-enable it again with the module plugged in.

It's not held into the panel behind the bumper with screws, it uses molding push pins. I had some molding push/screw plugs handy that were a near perfect fit so it's mounted where it's supposed to be without messing with any of the wiring.

I missed that post you made (just searched for it now) but I had tried that and it didn't seem to help.

Maybe there's an order that it needs to be done first before turning on the EVIC controls?

Is there a cheat sheet anywhere explaining what all the BCM settings are?

Seems it's all a big guessing game or finding someone with a particular option to dump their status log and compare.

Really need somebody who has the option from the factory to give us a log and their Vin so we can compare settings and find out exactly what extra hardware we need (if any).
