Anybody Have Any Issues with the new HD's yet?

Kings would be my first choice, then Fox and Bilsteins.

Went to work on an emergency call last night, the radio was losing audio for about half a second every 5 seconds. I thought at first the sxm input was having the issue. But after I tried bluetooth it did the same thing

Then I thought regular terrestrial radio would work, and the same thing. Didn't matter what input, or that I had turned the radio off altogether.

After I was done my job and restarted the truck the issue resolved itself

On a side note, even when the power is off (not just the screen off button) you can adjust the climate control and the number pops up in the driver's corner. The weird thing is you can tell the LCD backlight is still on when you only press the screen off button, but everything shuts off when you push the power button. I often use screen off going to work in the morning down backroads, but I wish it also turns off the LCD backlight

Hi,
I'm very sorry to hear this happened. Please let me know if the concern occurs again, I would be happy to assist.

I agree with this 100%. The screen off button should turn the screen off, backlight included!

They need to keep it ready to go so when you put the truck in reverse THE BACKUP CAMERA COMES ON FULL BRIGHT!!!

WTF were they thinking?

Talk about losing all night vision.

Oh yea, this too

I THINK the backup camera coming on is a government mandate, BUT the brightness should be in line with the dash/display settings of the driver, IMHO. The other annoyance is with the headlights off the dash goes to full bright, and does not respond to the dimmer. I sometimes sit in the truck while waiting for someone, and don't want the blinding dash lights, so I have to keep the parking lights on. Who designs this stuff? Clearly they never drove a truck, or had to operate/maneuver in pitch black conditions.

My last truck did not go full bright in reverse. On that truck, of course the auto headlights would turn the lights on during the day at every underpass, which dimmed the panel and screen. You could disable the auto headlights, but not the auto panel dimming, lots of sense there.

I just love the full brightness at night, and reduce my eyesight.

I seem to recall seeing a "police mode" that can be set with AlphaOBD, but my memory isn't always 100% accurate these days...

Anyone else have their truck come from the factory with oil overfilled by nearly a quart? I had to let about that much out to get it to the top mark on the dipstick.

The LongHorn was properly filled but I do patronize a dealer, whose service dept frequently interprets the "FULL" mark on the dipstick as 'add another liter/quart'.

After reading all 25 pages and over a year the thread going on.. has anyone gotten their issues resolved or fixed??? Of all 25 pages maybe 2 or 3 resolutions/fixes.

Not gonna post all things I have going on it's like beating a dead horse.

After reading all of these threads, I don’t think I would trust the dealership to even touch my truck unless something catastrophic happened.

My hood has been “fixed” and my clunk has been “fixed”

My hood still shakes like a MFr (looked like she was gonna come off today)
My clunk is there still but not a grinding noise like it was

No idea how any of these will get fixed

What did they do for the clunk noise?

Well, they didn’t. The cab mounts replacement fixed the grinding noise but beyond that it didn’t fix the underlying issue.
