3E1F9A3F-15A4-4104-BC4D-E3A8CEDFAA3D.jpegTried to program my Procal Snap today for my 22 Laramie. When I pulled down the OBD2 port all the plugs were full. Everything I have seen no other truck has been like this. I reached out to CJC and they said search for another obd in the truck but I cannot find anything. Anyone have similar issues or know where to start? Thanks

I’ve never seen that on any FCA vehicle before. Only 3,4,5,6,11,14,&16 should be populated. There must be some other device on the truck somewhere. Where do all those wires go? The factory uses fuzzy black cloth tape on the bundle of 7 wires that go into the back of the OBD port. Are all of those wires “factory taped” together in one bundle, or do some of them go somewhere else?

Doesn't look right, like it's some sort of splitter cable and the factory OBD connector is hiding somewhere else.

The factory OBD plug should have been latched into its hole at the bottom edge of the knee bolster/kick panel.

Now that I look at it it looks like the splitter for AMP STEPS

@zanderharvey, if you do have the amp step (or, really, whatever the case may be), go ahead and remove the wires in positions 1&9, and proceed with the AEV bypass wires install in 1&9 like normal.

Would not be surprised if OP posts back that he had dealer installed AMP...
I'm in the same boat as the OP. I do have AMP research steps installed and am trying to plug in the AEV Procal Snap and am seeing the same thing as him, all ports full. I unplugged the AMP plug that was in front of that and called AEV. They think I'm in the wrong spot, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I think I also found a dealer installed GPS like Lo-Jack. I'll look again tonight but I'm hoping someone knows what I'm doing wrong.

Got any pictures of the plug you are trying?

I don't but the OP is exactly where I was at yesterday morning, my picture would be identical to his. Appreciate any help! I can try again tonight. Trying to figure this out.

Follow jimmys advice if thats the case. Also if you have a low jack dont tamper with it it could be a federal offense depending on your location

If it’s your truck (or not a lease or company owned) you can absolutely pull any dealer installed GPS device.

A lot of dealerships are starting to install these on all new vehicles and they just leave them behind afterwards as the manufacturer of the device pays them for the data they collect.

Pull it off and throw it in the trash.

Not if its in the financing agreement you cant pull it off, also if it was installed as you said you would have to be made aware and sign a release for them to leave it on your truck…

If you’ve got a financing agreement that requires use of a GPS device then you probably never would have qualified for a loan on a $60+k truck. No agreements are being signed. Just glance at the Jeep forums for post after post of “what’s this thing in my obd2 port?”.

I guess it depends where you live here they must disclose a tracking device and you can be high risk on a 60k+ loan usually accompanied with a high interest rate

In the US, 80% of the time, it’s installed by the dealer because of the insurance break for vehicle tracking/theft off of the lot, and the device never gets uninstalled once sold. 19% of the time, it’s an automatic dealer installed option, and they slip the price of it into the final sale (along with nitrogen filled tires) with the buyer not even paying attention.
The other 1% would be financial institutions requiring it, but that would only be at the dealerships that are littered with a bunch of big signs that say “bad credit, no credit, no problem”, or “everyone drives away in a new vehicle”.
