2023 HD 2500 Order Guides with Pricing

I still don’t understand the reasoning behind a more limited color selection availability on th LH and Limited trims. I’d love a olive green Limited with black/cattle tan interior.

Not enough new things for me to dump my ‘22 limited. New cab and exterior styling is needed along with a few years on the new potential powertrains. I guess next new truck for me will be a ‘28.
I've been contemplating getting rid of mine, but I just can't justify it. I would like the new cluster and mirrors. I like painted bumper, but for the price these trucks were a year ago vs now...ridiculous! Almost 8k increase in one year. Does having a cool new TFT cluster, power extending mirrors and standard painted bumpers justify the price increase? I would be paying slightly less, ($1200) for a LH 2500 Hemi, than what I paid for my 3500 LH Cummins. It's not just the 2023, 2022 current pricing is almost identical. I feel like I'd be loosing out. I'm with you, I think. I'll wait to maximize my dollar when these go to Gen5. Maybe some new gas engine options. We'll see how that Hurricane performs under load and towing. unless Ram is holding out for the Cummins I6 TT. I'll keep lurking and deciding...

Hopefully the website will be updated with the 2023 pictures and options when the ordering window opens as I like to "look in the horses' mouth" before buying it. I'm curious as to the looks of the sport hood, those new mirrors, and any other cosmetic changes. I keep recalling my wife holding off to buy a new BMW to get the new model year and they changed to a beaver tooth grill...a deal killer.

Most of the price increases were done throughout the 22 MY. I started looking in December and encountered 2 increases between early Dec and Jan 20th when I placed my order. There were a couple more after that. Sticker on my truck in late Jan was 61k. Sticker when it was built was 66.5k. So 5500 over 6 months, and the other 2 increases amounted to about 1500.

Looking over the order guides they have included the 12" screen in several packages where it was not included before. This plus them making it available in Tradesman last year tells me that they are easier to get and that makes sense because the chips that are hardest to get is older chips because you get less of them out of a wafer and there are less plants that produce them. What I am getting at is maybe they are forcing going to the 12" radio to make it easier to produce trucks instead of waiting on electronics that are more affected by the chip shortages.

Well guys it’s the 11th. Original posting had rumors of order banks opening around today.

Any of you guys discuss it with your dealers?

Zach should be able to give us the definitive on that question.

We should see some press release about the ‘23s make its way through the auto magazines before the orders open, I assume?

**Quick Update**

We've been informed that 2023 Ram orders are being delayed. Our allocation is open for the month, but all RAM models (all 1500, HD 2500/3500) are not open for ordering. Sounds like they have enough production for 2022, but they aren't sure on commodity availability for 2023 models quite yet.

Stay tuned, it may be later this month or first part of September when the order banks open up. Again, this isn't a TRX only item, rather a whole Ram line issue.

This is copied from last night on another forum. Take it for what it’s worth. Hopefully @zach@granger can update with any other info he has. Sorry for what could be bad news.

This is both frustrating and good for me at the same time. I really want to put an order in so it will arrive as soon as possible, but I’m in the middle of moving and I would rather not order until I finish that. Either way, I guess it’s better than them taking orders and delivering trucks missing features.

Lol unless you plan on moving for the next 6 months I don't see how this is good. If these really are built in October we won't see them until December/ January?

I don't want to put an order in while I'm in the process, but I don't want orders to open up before I'm ready that way I can still be up towards the front of the line. Totally selfish reasons, but it is what it is.

Did anyone else catch that there appears to be two different digital rearview mirrors? I'm trying to understand the difference between GRG and GNQ? GNQ looks to be packaged along with the trailer reverse steering knob in the Trailer Technology Group while GRG is packaged with the Wired tow-mode camera in the Tow Mode Digital Mirror package.

It looks like you can't have both... I'm guessing that GNQ is maybe the more advanced digital rearview not leveraging a physical camera mounted on the trailer?

I heard there was going to be a new digital mirror. Wasn't sure if it was just rumor or not, but its suppose to split up the screen (mirror) so you can see different items. I believe up to three.

I don't like the 12" radio being included in the Laramie level 1 package. I know you keep climate control buttons but I don't like losing the heated and ventilated seat buttons. The whole reason I would get level 1 is for the ventilated seats and I'd rather them be easier to use and have the 8.4. I use the ventilated seats daily in my current truck all summer long.

Yes, from everything I have heard this doesn't effect or have any negative impact on 2022 orders. They just don't have it nailed down on what commodities they have available for 2023. I don't have any solid information on when 2023 orders will open, but I would assume within the next 30 days. Whether we get a small window to order at the end of this month or the opportunity to order at this time next month when the September allocation opens up.

They still looking to start building in October though?

On my '22 limited the level 1 equipment group was about $4600, it looks like if I wanted to build the same truck as a '23 it would cost about 8k more with the base price increases

On the RAM website for the 2022 build configurator, there is no Level 1 Equipment Group option available. I thought this option was entirely new for 2023, but if your 2022 has it and it's no longer listed on RAM's website today, does this mean that it's no longer available for 2022 orders due to the chip shortage?

Likely, but in the past, the ram build website has been slow to update availability and price changes. You dealer should have a more accurate view of what is and isn't available.

My guess is they are trying to make trucks with what they have left at this point, before '23s start. So options and configs are winding down, with supplies winding down.
