2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I’m not liking the delivery date change from Aug 8 to Aug 19th. I know others have experienced the same but it’s still irritating. Can anyone clue me in as to what would cause this date change?
My date a changed 3 times due to they have lost my keys, been sitting in NC since July 4

And there in black & white is the problem and the source of confusion. $86,291 is not invoice (regardless of what they typed there, it is FWP, or Factory Wholesale Pricing)…$82,176 is invoice (or a smidge over invoice). But you still are getting it below invoice by $1,063, or 1.3%. Koons is still going to make about $1,000 on the deal with the dealer hold-back

That was too much math…is it 5 yet?

What is the source for people saying FWP is not invoice? My understanding is that FWP is invoice. That's in line with what Edmunds had listed as invoice and a lot of forum threads across Stellantis brands. The prices from Edmund match up with the MSRP and FWP on Scooters build sheet (kind of, each one is about a grand more).

Right on. I feel pretty good about my deal that amounts to 6% off of FWP. When I got a "3% below invoice" quote from Chapman CDJR in PA they also equated FWP to invoice. Regardless of what the "real" invoice price is, @Arel11 got almost 13% off of MSRP, which is a good deal no matter which way you slice it.

Right on, not trying to pick fights, was just curious if there was info I was missing!

Flew in to Lake Charles this morning and picked mine up. Full tank of gas and 1/2 Def. Made it back to Dallas with 1/3 left. Truck meter said 19 mpg. Ordered 2/23, Aaron said they are very close to moving 600 trucks this month. I should not have been suprised by the number of car haulers there and hot shot rigs loading up trucks to deliver. Great experience overall. These things are ridiculous nice. Engine brake is awesome. Rode super smooth compared to my 08. Thanks to all those that answered multiple questions you are all awesome!
Tint and ceramic this week.

I can't speak to the MSRP differences, but I also ordered from Koons in March for 6% under invoice.
same here

there was msrp, then invoice then % off of invoice that includes the $1000 for doing the purchase thru Chrysler financial, POC had some calculations and then the final breakdown is better understood in the out of the door pricing sheet.

its been a minute

I was on PTO Friday so I didn't put any eyes on this. Dealer said Thursday that it was in D status. Not sure what is the dealio..but... LOL
It seems 3 months was all that was needed to get scheduled. no production date yet. I'm happy with any movement.

I wish Ram would extend all their models out to at least the 4500 series. These F450 Platinum owners looking down their nose at me is tiring!

@Scubaz66 shared: "Dealer Hold Back is an amount manufacturer returns to a dealer after the auto has been sold. If I recall these are Factory Incentives to encourage the dealer to sell as many autos as possible. Dealer Hold Back on my $60K RAM Big Horn was approximately $1750.00. Therefore if the dealer sold you the vehicle for Dealer Invoice they still make $1750 on the sale. Not bad for a few hours of work."

Think of dealer hold back (my understanding) as what the dealer gets from the manufacturer once they sell the vehicle. If they sell at invoice, they are still getting the hold-back.

By my limited math skills using fingers and toes: That explains how MD is doing so well and making bank! They sold 500+ vehicles last month, and using just your $1,750 dealer kick back, they are still grossing $875,000 for the month! Awesome business model!!!

Just remember there is a difference between “invoice” and “MSRP”. MD is selling under MSRP, and I have no idea what invoice on these trucks run, but I feel that 10-12% under MSRP there has to be a good separation between the two.
