Adding a front camera to a 2019 Biggorn 3500

You have to hit the camera button, like my old truck. But I have it set on my favorites, etc.
As for install... do you have a rear or cargo camera already? That will change it up. The install was easy otherthan getting the camera bolt screwed tight. PM and I can even call you about it

yea my BH came with the rear and cargo cams.

If I begin to struggle once I start the project (probably mid/late August), I'll take you up on the offer to assist via phone.

You will want to use different pins, I had to remove the existing pins. Not sure what I removed, but I did..
 
right under the A on the RAM. like factory. i'll get a picture.

Finally getting around to installing the front camera w/ Jimmy's harness this weekend - I'll post an update (or hit this thread up for any potential hiccups) by Sunday.

Did mine a few months ago and love it. I use it daily.

I believe so, it was two pins in the bottom corner. I also activated it as the cargo cam but jimmy contacted me after and let me know I could have done it as aux came. This would allow me to add another camera. Haven't messed with it but thinking of adding a second camera and mounting it in my toy hauler.

I’m interested in adding a front camera to a 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman. I upgraded the radio to Uconnect 8.4 I have a factory backup camera in the trail gate. Can I add the front camera and what parts do I need?
 
Bumping this way back up from the COVID days...

I would like to add a front camera but curious about control options. How does the factory front camera come on? Is it automatic? It would be nice to have the camera come on when the front park sensors start chirping.

It comes on manually. As far as my truck knows, my front camera is the camera mounted in the third brake light. It is labeled cargo cam on the radio display. I put a short cut key on the home screen. I use mine when pulling into tight spaces and into my garage. To activate, I simply hit that shortcut key. Automatic activation would be nice but I can't really think of a way to make that happen, at least not on my 22.
 
Does anyone know if this works on a 2023 2500 Tradesman with the non-nav 8.4” Uconnect 5 radio?
