Does anyone know what this Inside Diameter spec of Gooseball receiver is on 2020 3500? I've PM'd Ramcares and all I received back was it's in spec (meaning the shank of the gooseball which is not what I was asking - I have the shank specs). Visited my independent tech today. We both have 2020 3500s with the factory puck system and B&W OEM balls. I can rock my locked ball back and forth. His is snug. We switched balls. Same outcome. Tells me the RAM puck is out of spec on my truck. One gooseball has already been ruined. No idea how to prove this to the dealership (still under warranty) as we head out on an 8K trip and heavy 5th wheel.

Take it and the "ball" to the dealer and show them how much play there is, then try on on a truck at the dealership?
Tried that last week when the CP4 was being replaced - nothing on lot with factory puck system. Nothing at two other dealers I've called also.

In the meantime weld couple beads around ball one toward the top and one toward the bottom grind down till it fits snug…

Are the 2020 and 2022 part numbers the same? If they are, my 22' 2500 is right about 2.225" inside diameter. It looks painted on the inside though and I have no idea how thick that coating is as mine is unused at this point.

Not sure if the part numbers are the same. Put a digital caliper on it today and the puck ID is 2.240. Doesn't seem like .015 should make that big a difference, but I sure can rock it. Tried a Mopar/Curt ball today and it was even worse. The spec for the Curt/Mopar ball shank is 2.225 (according to Curt) and for B&W is 2.228 (according to B&W) which is what I'm using. I've swapped B&W gooseballs with a tech who has a 2020 3500 and it's snug in his receiver but not mine.
