2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Well so much for mine moving at all this week. I'm really getting tired of this. It'll be August before I could even hope.

It also pisses me off its sitting outside down in Mexico. Dust, dirt, bird **** all just adding to the value I guess.
I’m right there with you…only one day older. UGH!

I have started looking around for a local truck.
We were supposed to get this to pull a tiny home we were looking at buying. Those plans kinda changed so I was planning to start hauling RVs out of Indiana.
I retired from local PD a few years ago and wife will retire soon. Been driving flatbed semi for awhile. If there was a program to pick it up and drive it home I would.

Just never imagined it would take this long. Hey maybe if it rolls into 23 they will discount the 22 orders.....wouldnt count on it.

And the crazy thing is you ordered 2 1/2 months before me and we were built within a day of each other, and now lost in limbo. Have you checked with @brv10 to see if maybe your at the outside vendor instead waiting to ship? The vague tracker shows I’m built ready to ship, yet it lies.

The used truck values were starting to fall, so I sold my 2006 2500 Cummins before I lost too much money last month. Now we’re without a truck waiting on our 3500 Dually, and a 6,000 mile trip to see family pulling the 5th Wheel looming in September. I’ve already starting to prepare the kids up in the NW it may not become a reality. Makes me question having sold my other one…but, what do you do?

Congratulations on your retirement…you deserve it!

So, I’m new here so Hi! About a month and a half ago I put a deposit down on a 2500 Laramie Cummins my dealer had coming right after it left the factory (coming here to Anchorage, AK). Yesterday I got the call no one wants to get, my sales guy starts off with “this isn’t the kind of call I like to make…” Obviously it was bad news.

Truck was supposed to arrive sometime around July 29th and now it never will. Stellantis called them to let them know all of the vehicles they had coming to their store were on a train that derailed yesterday morning (8 July) and that they totaled out every single vehicle on the train to include my truck and at least 12 other 2500s bound for their store.

Long story short, they had another allocation built exactly the same down to the dollar and smallest option and my guy swapped my deposit onto it for me. I’ll just have to wait another month or so for it to show up.

Anyone hear about any car carriers derailing yesterday? Seems this happened in or near Washington state, but I can’t find any news about it anywhere yet. Cars bound for Alaska all pass through Kent, WA and get loaded on a ship in Tacoma bound for Anchorage. Transit takes about 4-6 days on the high seas.

I saw a video on tic tok showing a recent derailment, im guessing your truck was one of those, unless they have had multiple trains derailing, the one in the video was in Mexico

Union Pacific said my rail car arrived in Mira Loma on 7/7.

Does anyone have any insight on how quick the turn around time is at Mira Loma? My new truck is sitting 3.5 hours away and undoubtedly getting very lonely....

.
Mine arrived at Mira Loma on 6/29 and hasn’t moved. Also about 3.5 hours away from me…. I asked my salesman and they said they’re pushing to get them up here as they have several other vehicles in the same yard.

My buddy ordered his loaded Laramie Srw 3500 chassis cab in July or …. 2021 and is still waiting on it, has had the window sticker for I think 3 months now. Last thing the dealer told him was it’s in Illinois. This truck is headed for Dave Smith in Idaho. He’s way more patient than I would have been. Plus he really didn’t that great a deal on it. Brv gave me good news to tell my buddy that it’s on its way now, but still don’t know when he’ll see it.
There are actually quite a few that were built those few days that have become lost. Mine was built 5/18 and I’ve been stuck at the outside vendors since, 52 days and counting!

Well on the brighter side, once it lands on American soil at a port it’ll set again for ether a short time or like mine, it’s been a month so far….. Don’t worry about the dust and bird crap, the dealer will get it all clean. Just hope the cartel didn’t fill it full of dope and it’s impounded …. Maybe that’s why mine is setting.

Maybe that’s what mine is doing at the outside vendor…it is a dually and could hold 7,500lbs of it

Our is just drunk…
I was hoping for a email today but haven’t gotten anything… I did crack open the storage building at the shop and looked at everything we’ve got to put on it when it arrives…

I have almost forgotten what I have bought for it … LOL

Last part was 6 tires. 285/75 Toyo AT3’s
Ranch Hand full Legend front bumper, Tyger auto steps, retrax tonneau cover, magnum headache rack, 2” Bora wheel spacers, weathertech mud flaps, banks pedal monster, B&W gooseneck hitch, and Led bulges for the headlights and fog lights. It’s a bighorn but did add the Alcoa wheels instead of the steel wheels and simulators. The dually is black.

I'm in the Pismo Beach area, where are you? Maybe both of ours will end up on the same truck? I ordered mine at the Santa Maria dealer.

I just got signed up for the Ram app on my phone, called in and activated......and then I used the app to set both geolocation and curfew alerts. I figure if it pops up on the radar in either Mira Loma or Santa Maria, I should get an alert?

I wonder how much a transport service would charge to load our trucks on a gooseneck and bring them north? Might be worth splitting the $$ :)

I’m in Arroyo Grande but ordered through Cole Chrysler in SLO. If there was a way to make it happen I’d be interested. Though I didn’t get that sense from my salesman…. My ETA still shows 7/15. Hasn’t changed for several weeks.

Just remember that the truck is in “ship/logistics mode”. To quote Chrysler: “All ram trucks (1500 through 5500) leave the assembly plant in a mode where all nonessential electronic equipment is disabled. This is done to help prevent the battery from discharging during shipping. This is called “Ship Mode” or “Logistics Mode.””

You probably won’t get an alert until the truck is started to off-load it…FWIW
