On Order - 4/26/22

Local Dealer - Heller Motors - Pontiac IL
MSRP $78,610
Final Agree'd Upon - $73,161 (Invoice)

I will get any available offers from Ram at the time of delivery.

The Granger offer that I put them up against was below.

Granger Offer $ 70,140
Fuel + 200
Tranportation Tags + 45
Lost IL Tax Benefit + 1,433
Final Cost of Granger $ 70,385

I edited this post to remove the tax, i would have been able to utilize this, but was under the (wrong) impression that if I traded out of state I would lose the credit.

I was scared Granger or MD would stiff me on my trade and there wasn't that big of a cost difference.
Also, it will save me a day at the DMV.

Dave Smith is the largest CJD dealer in the world so they say. Another good dealer is Dennis Dillon. You'll probably find your best deal at one or the
I received the attached quote from Dennis Dillon. The only issue is I am in Texas and they do not ship... the other concern I have is no other dealerships can get anywhere close to the $65k Dennis is asking...and some are even warning me that this dealership uses the bait and switch technique and tends to hide fees that will show up on the final sticker price. Does anyone have experience ordering/purchasing from them? What was your experience like? Did you walk away with the best deal or did you walk away without a vehicle?

Dolan Dodge in Reno will match any price from dillon or dave smith. And they don't force you to go through Chrysler Financing. Just a heads up

So what is the preferred way to contact Mark Dodge for your order so they know you're from this group and looking for the below invoice pricing?

You don't need to mention this group for the pricing. Just call and ask for a quote on an order and send them your proposed build sheet.

Not sure why this is here, taxable price after trade is the same whether it's bought in IL or IA.
I never dealt with out to state car purchase, I was under the impression that if i went to go to the DMV they wouldn't take the trade in out. Looking at the RUT form, it looks like i would have been able to use that credit anyway.

Live and learn i guess!

What are you guys finding for current incentives? All I'm finding is Penn fed 500 off and a military 500 off. Not sure if those stack. Also hoping the 0 percent sticks around.

You can Google ram incentives and the ram site will have all the current incentives. Penfed won't show up because it's not through Ram it's through Truecar.

That's the point of the post. I found the military discount thought the ram site and found the pennfed one. Just wondering if anyone knew of any others floating around. I also signed up several times for ram bonus cash but never received anything. My co worker received one though, lol

My wife has gotten two for Wagoneer that can be applied to Ram. Might be worth checking there. As far as I know the only things not listed on the incentives site are trucar (Penfed), tread lightly, and the email coupons, but there may be more that someone else can chime in on.

Signed/paid for my truck last Friday - MD honored the build sheet price, which given price increases since I ordered it in January, was close to 11k below the sticker with TTL included. I'd buy again from MD if I need another Ram/Mopar product.

Forgot about the tread lightly, I'll look for that as well. Guessing they won't all stack but I'll let the dealer sort that out.

I'm ashamed to what I paid for my 2022 dually quad cab diesel. I paid 107 thousand plus taxes. I know I over paid for I had almost the same truck bought in 2019 for 89 thousand. I just need a truck now and couldn't wait for one to be order. Plus I was told the dealers are not taking orders for 2022. This is a limited long horn with the Aisin transmission and auto leveling. No sunroof though. lol I am new to the forum so I'm not sure I'll be able to get back here. I use to deal in cars/truck in the 90's so I know about the business but I'm long retired and wanted what I wanted. It's a dually. I wrote a check for taxes and all, out the door for 112,500, which included the dodge ram warranty. Am I the sucker?

I would say you are a sucker but only because I can't afford to drop 23k more than I have to on a truck. If you have the means to do it, enjoy it and don't look back. We all paid premium money for a depreciating asset, at least you have yours. Mine is still in Mexico, lol.

What people might not know it all new truck dealers pay the same price. If you get a good deal then it's because that dealer chooses to make less. A lot of factors play into this. Over head is one big thing. However don't think a dealership has better prices because they are bigger. Bigger means more over head. Remember all dealers pay the same price for a new truck. However these are different times. I've never seen anything like today's market. Chip shortage? No such thing in the late 90's.

One of the most competitive offers I got was from a dealer in a small town about an hour from me. They were somewhere around 4-5 percent off MSRP. Everyone else was MSRP plus. In hindsight, I kinda kick myself for not going that route. I would have missed 2 price increases and ordered about 1.5 months earlier. MD ended up being 11 percent lower. Now increased airfare or shipping cost is going to eat into any additional savings. They were one of the first dealers I got a quote from so I needed to check around. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.

I understand about hindsight. Dealing in cars/trucks I never EVER thought I would pay retail. However I didn't pay retail I paid over retail. I feel bad buying a truck like that knowing that others are in need. I know I paid more than I should but the hard part is feeling bad paying that much. I had / still have a pretty nice 2006 Ford F350 King Ranch dually 4x2 with only 22 thousand miles on it. A contractor offered me 35 thousand, so I needed a truck fast, to haul my truck camper. Plus to be honest my truck, the tires are dry rotting and I'm sure the belts need changing. Plus the 6.0 is . Promomatic, everyone knows that. So when the wife wants to travel, I thought, lets get the Ford ready, but when the contractor made his offer, well it's time to buy a new one. I'm an older fellow about 70, profile is a lie. So I thought it's better to buy something I can trust then break down hauling two tons in the bed of your truck. The Dulth Ga. Dealer has several dually's over 100 grand. Like I said in 2019, same I had the same truck bought for 89 thousand plus tax. I didn't get a 4:10 rear end. I did get everything else except the 50 gallon tank. That I wanted. Aisin was the main thing, 4x4 of course. Maybe I can find a picture of my Ford. For years it's sit in my 24x30 garage. Time to let go. Right?

Sounds like you got pretty good money for the old rig. Kinda the same thing that made me pull the trigger on the new one. I'm getting the same money that I paid for my 2014 1500. I've put 75k on it and have had it 7 years. It is costing me 35k to upgrade but I'm getting a truck that is better for what I'm doing and it is brand new and should last me for years. I wouldn't sweat it too much, it's only money and you can't take it with you.
