I heard on the Union Pacific automated system that the rail car with my truck in it was unloaded yesterday at 3:42 pm in Port Allen.
I thought they would have had to start the truck to drive it off the train. And I thought that when they started the truck that the location would update on the Ram App that I set up manually via a phone call last week.
Well, the vehicle location is still not showing up, but at initial App start-up it did find my VIN, and showed the current miles and current recall, and I still have it in my Ram "garage", but no location information. Am I missing something?
 
MM, not sure it will show-up. Maybe “Ship Mode” disables the radio & other features? Mine is at my dealer & I have the app setup with them when I was there yesterday doing the paperwork. It still doesn’t have a location for mine on the app. But it’s still in Ship Mode & won’t be pep’ed until Tuesday.

Perhaps they'll volunteer that it needs a new bumper before you need to get demanding.
I haven’t even mentioned it to the dealer yet. This was the pic they sent me when it was delivered.
I don’t think we will reach the demanding stage. I’ll contact them Tuesday.
 
Seems to be a lot more unbuilt 3500’s than 2500’s on the spreadsheet. I'm thinking it’s time for a run on them to get caught up.
Haven't looked in awhile but the common theme I saw was HO Cummins. There were a bunch of them sitting unbuilt.

After reading your post I decided to send Sandi a email to see if my truck has made it to them. It’s still on delivery the 6th but if it’s there maybe they can get to it earlier, sure don’t want it to be delayed past the 6th.
I don’t want to be impatient but if I need to start making vacation changes I want to go ahead and get that squared away. To many factors going on between MD and shipping to me. Wish I knew how long the to me part will take, guess that part has me worried about vacation ..
 
Is there an easy way to track a rail car on Union Pacific? My salesman doesn't know of any way to find out the location or status of CTTX690525. If anyone has a way please share. Thanks
 
I tried the UP website but that requires a login and password and I'm not a business so I don't believe I can register.

Truck is in ship mode. All non essential electronics are turned off. So no uconnect or location services.
 
My buddy ordered his truck from Dave Smith in Idaho 11 months ago. A fairly loaded chassis cab Laramie. They tell him it’s been sitting in Illinois for 2 months. Do they normally go through Illinois if Dave Smiths in Idaho? My truck was sent through Portland Oregon that I ordered in Wa state. I ordered a fully loaded dually a month after him and I got mine in Jan. If anyone can check here’s his vin

call and go through the automation service for tracking your car number. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it. You'll have to say "trace", and I've only had success by saying the letters and numbers of the rail car. It says something about you can enter the numbers only using the phone's key pad, but it never worked. You have to be patient with it no matter what though, it gets what you say correctly only about half the time.

I've read on here to avoid talking to a representative. If you are about the get transferred to a rep, just hang up. We don't want to be bothering them with all our truck shipments. Just use the automatic rail car tracker for what it is and be happy we can get that much without registering a business account with UP or CSX.


ETA: I tried saying your rail car number like seventeen times and it cannot hear me correctly. I wish you better luck

Anyone that has the OEM slush mats in their new truck can you post or send me a picture? I’m sure my mats will be carpet and I’d rather have a set of rubber , just want to make sure I order the correct ones.

I tried the automation way as well. No matter how many times I tried to pronounce it correctly it would not get it right. The rep refused because I was not the company it was addressed to. In any event the truck is on its way. The tracker says delivery on 7/20. I've asked the dealership to not have caviar and champagne. But they insisted then on champagne and strawberries and shrimp cocktail. I agreed because I don't care for caviar.
 
No, blind spot monitoring wasn't something that came up from me or them. I would hope with all the towing options I chose if it needed to be specified it would have been triggered (like ordering 20" wheels triggers 20" rims). I'll write them this weekend and call them Tuesday.
If it is not listed in your detailed POC, it wasn't part of your order. Most likely, it wasn't available on any of the packages you ordered.

I looked at your Window Sticker and Equipment Listing...I don't see any options on there where I would have expected to see BSM. If available, I have seen it most times in the safety groups or technology groups. From what I can tell, you did not ord either of those.
 
It seems odd so many are sitting this month. Not sure if there are a significantly larger amount, but wonder if it is a coincidence that the 0% interest rate ends on 7/5. Mine is currently waiting at a rail yard in Baltimore for a ride to Koons. They said it is going to take 2 weeks.
