2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Just some SA to add to the saga of trying to figure out the process behind why some trucks ship within a few days of being built while others get parked along side 20,000 or so other trucks waiting to be delivered. I'm not a conspiracy theory guy and I don't believe in coincidence but I thought this change in information on my RAM tracker page was alittle odd.

I contacted MD yesterday because during the production phase of my truck build there was an estimated delivery date of 2022-6-23 (as many on this forum have noticed this date gets replaced with TBD once the truck is built). Since yesterday was the 23rd of June, I asked if my truck was on it's way to the dealership or scheduled for delivery. This is the response I got.

//Good afternoon. Your truck is completed however it is still sitting at the factory in Saltillo, Mexico waiting for a spot on the train to be available so they can get it transported to us. I have seen trucks stay in a delay status for just a few days, a few weeks or in some cases a few months. I really wish I could tell you exactly when it will get on the train.//

Later in the day before I shut down my computer I thought I would check the RAM tracker one more time and noticed that 2 fields had changed when you go into the 'inspect function. I took a screen shot and put it below, the arrival date in section 2 changed from "2022-6-23" to "TBD" and current status changed from "Y" to "N".

Probably doesn't mean anything but thought it was interesting that it changed after I contacted MD for an update. I think this date in section 2 is just an estimated date that is used once all the parts are available for the truck to enter the production process, kind of like a backstop to make sure it gets into production. The date probably has more to do with when the truck moves from one phase or to an outside vendor. Some one on this forum may have an explanation and whether it means anything or not, just wanted to add some information to the collective database that may help with the patience one must have during the truck ordering process.

Thank you, and it makes less sense why some members are stuck in JB. *sad panda*
there are some available, at one point during my ordering it was not available and it was suggested i look to ranch hands, they carry it and pricing was similar

nice, glad they sorted out the faux pas. And my build is basically the same to the exception of megacab, looking at the exterior. congrats.
I’m not sure what gets put on at the vendors. I do know the bed liner, bed steps, hitch, side steps….beyond that who knows. Looking at his, maybe it’s the side step. But I do know I want to break free from the gravitational pull of this black hole and get in line to ship. 37 days and counting is not funny anymore…

I have not heard back from the dealer, any chance someone can see if I'm still JB after 32 days or if there has been movement. It was much easier waiting for the truck before it was built.
VIN 3C6UR5SL6NG288449.
Thank you!

Just Think…… You’ve Got Shipping To Go Through !
This is the closets you’ll be to expecting your water to break and a baby pop out…

@OfficerDirtySanchez and @brv10 Line 1373 has been delivered to Dealer in Danville, Ky. If it helps to figure out all this madness once it shipped from Mexico it flowed pretty smoothly until it come to last rail yard in Nashville where it sat from June 3rd until yesterday. Going tomorrow to pick it up. Thanks for everyone's help.

On the Ram tracker, my truck went into production 6/20, and was built two days later 6/22. Is that correct? I got the Ram spray in bed liner and how can it be built and shipped to the vendor for bed liner in 2 days? Or is truck still in process of being built?

My order went into production the 13th, built the 14th and shipped the 16th of this month. I know it sounds to be good to be true because I ordered bedliner and deployable steps but my salesman says its on its way to KANSAS CITY and 11th of July is estimated delivery date and that has been holding firm since the original dated was the 28th. I look at the tracker way too much.

A transport service delivered my Laramie on Saturday. $1100 from Mark Dodge to WI and only 3 days from posting the transport request to delivery - much better than I expected!

Everyone at MD made this the best auto buying experience by far. I can't say enough about how great they are. I had two minor issues, one of which was 100% my fault, and Aaron went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.

Thanks to everyone here for all the help. Without this forum, I would've gone nuts waiting in the dark and would have greatly overpaid at my local dealer if not for the MD recommendations.

Thank you very much ! I’ve been wondering what the delivery fee is going to be … Mines gonna have to travel almost 1000 miles for delivery..

Anyone had this issue… both key fobs not working…somewhat. I just remote started once, but the unlock, lock, remote start, panic buttons on both fobs not working.

It was about 1,075 miles for mine so I'd assume you could get a similar price. I didn't realize this at first, but they post it on a dispatch site and then you wait to see if someone grabs it or you raise the amount. Kody thought I might get a bite at $1k, but I started at $1,100 to try and get it done quickly.

Also, others have mentioned this, but it was cool to add the truck to the RAM app and track it on the map. Seeing them drive straight through to StL the first night made me cringe thinking about what that drive would have been like for me. I had a plane ticket and was going to drive it back, but the ticket+gas was the same as the transport fee.

Delivered to the dealership and picked up today!

I have been reading every post in this forum for the last few months and have appreciated all the information and camaraderie. I was one of the lucky ones that went from ordered to delivered in 4 months and one day.

How did y'all get into this without having access to the truck? Mine keeps saying go to the vehicle and open the activate services.
You need to call Ram and have them manually setup the Ram Connect app. You will need to give them your vin and verbally accept the terms. Tell them you are not around the truck at the moment.

Would that be the RamChat number we were once all so familiar with?
800-777-3600

Can't remember exactly what they asked for but for sure the VIN lol.

I think I said I wasn't around the vehicle at the moment and the person said I would need to verbally accept the terms to continue.

I would wait till the truck is built and either JB or KZ status.
