U Connect 5 Radio Presets Keep Disappearing

Any luck? Not sure how often yours deleted, mine seems to be odd times.

If I drive it daily, it keeps them for a few days, then will randomly reset the AM/FM defaults, but keeps the SXM presets. If it sits for a few days, they'll all be deleted.

I noticed that when it deletes the presets, the radio lags and takes a long time to turn on. It will also reset my theme on the dash.

Odd thing today, the scroll knob didn't work, unless I was in a different menu off the radio display.

Buggiest system I've ever seen.

It’s been almost a week now and the presets have stayed but the speakers are back popping but not as loud. Never had any issues with the rear camera. Really don’t know if it did anything or not yet.
 
Ram Cares replied with no solution.

I just drove across country and the radio reset every single rest stop. It's infuriating.
 
I've had issues with losing radio presets probably a dozen times since February when I bought my 2022 Ram 1500. Hemi 1500. I also will get notification about airbag and low tire lights on but they're not. Now the backup camera doesn't always come on. I traded in a 2014 RAM that I loved but regret buying this one.

The Z47 recall should take care of your issues.

The tech that did mine said it was an update for the radio also but he didn’t know exactly what it was supposed to fix. He said mine was the first one he had done for this recall.

I traded an 18’ CTD with 28k miles and I wish I could get it back and hadn’t traded. But it had an issue with performance at high altitude that they couldn’t figure out.

3 weeks now and still hanging in there. The presets are still good. The recall did get rid of the odd noises I was getting when I first cranked the truck also.

That was supposed to address the backup camera I thought. I got the recall notice, and it said take it to the dealer, or install myself. I go to the website to the get the software, it says my Vin is up to date, and no update.

From what I understand that web site isn't always accurate.
 
Is there a way to bypass the VIN check?
 
You could call the dealer and ask them to check your vin for the update.

I got another update letter in the mail yesterday for the same update I had done in June.
 
Just adding to the # of reports...

New here with 2022 2500 Cummins with non-nav. Along with presets and theme, mine also forgets the equalizer settings and sometimes even turns on the "beep" with touchscreen input.

This is my tow vehicle that sits for several days at a time. When we are on a trip and using the truck daily then all is well. When it sits for a few days the radio loses things.
 
Mine sits for a couple of days at a time also since we’re retired and don’t have to go to town every day. The recall seems to have fixed the presets disappearing and some of the other crazy things it was doing.

Did you do an OTA update, or did the dealer do it?
 
So today around 6 pm EST, I started my PW and noticed that I had lost all my presets yet again. My theme as well. I took a few pix. Every time I lose my presets, the same random ones reappear. One that's especially noticeable is a Sirius Hits one. Take a look and let me know if anything seems familiar.

As for my theme, look at the pic of the "squashed" speedo display number. The font isn't even normal, but it happens every time I lose my presets. IMG_3273.jpgIMG_3274.jpgIMG_3094.jpgIMG_3272.jpg
