What did you do TO your RAM today?

Bought the truck last week, just installed N-Fab Podium steps, and got it professionally detailed and applied Adams graphene ceramic coating. It’s amazing how much better it looks than from the dealer lot, took my guy 2 days working between other cars.

Anyone with larger tires do a gear swap yet?

The 35s with the 6.4 have it struggling to stay in gear when towing at freeway speeds.

I haven’t seen much talk about gear swaps here so I’m guessing just getting the transmission shift points correct seem to do the trick.

What speed and what weight? Have to adjusted the tire size?

What speed and what weight? Have to adjusted the tire size?

65-70 mph while pulling a total trailer weight (fulled loaded) around 7150 lbs. Tires are 325/60/18. 3.73 gears. I have not adjusted tire size using Alpha OBD.

During our trip this past weekend, it was really hunting for gears. I’ve been toying with the idea of changing gears but wanted to get others take on it. As in, is it worth it or should I just get the tire size recalibrated or get the Pulsar (or something similar).

I have a 2020 2500 6.4l adjusted, no issues with shifting towing 11k in the NH hills. https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?...with-alfaobd-2020-power-wagon.3319/post-47157 follow the instructions for tire size and you'll be golden! I have done three trucks and all are right on.

I appreciate the info! Time to go read the Alpha OBD thread as I know ZERO about it and what’s involved with it!

Also keep in mind the circumference at full PSI vs. what you run. If you run lower than max PSI in the tire subtract a little bit.

Took delivery on my 2022 Tradesman 6.4 yesterday and installed a DECKED drawer system and Magnaflow muffler today. I like the DECKED system but taking the Magnaflow off as the drone is too intense.

Since I got it a little over 3 weeks ago I’ve added teh OEM running boards, added a vinyl sticker to the dash to stop the glare off the RAM logo, and today
got rid of my factory tires for Toyo Open Country ATIII’s in 285/75/18. I had wanted the Falken Wildpeaks and had the help of others on this forum to confirm they’re worthy. Only issue was I coudn’t find them in stock near me and the shop could get these. I’ve had Toyo’s before on my old Duramax and we have them on our Merceds GL350 and they’re great tires. Next up is to add vinyl stickers in white over the chrome badging to make that more subtle…. Just need time to knock that out.

I picked my truck up yesterday and installed Mopar molded splash guards after work today. I think they look nice and should help keep rocks from our county road off of the doors and rockers.
