If you average the price of the trucks at 55,000 to 65,000 given the distribution across the whole family of 1500's to 3500's the amount of money sitting in that lot ranges from 1.15 to 1.365 Billion dollars. But Stellantis has already been paid for them.

Saltillo makes the HD trucks globally. They are also exported through South America, there are also emerging overseas markets like Australia. But 85-90% does go to the NA Market

So our trucks aren't sitting in containers out of the blazing sun ? That can't bode well for my black leather interior

I think the 1500s or built somewhere else.

One of my buddies who's pretty dialed in on all of this (and waiting for his Laramie 3500 DRW to be delivered to MD) heard there are approximately 21,000 trucks sitting at Saltillo waiting for transport. That's probably about $1B worth of inventory. You'd think Stellantis would be able to figure out a solution so that they could collect their money....
They get their money before they are parked there.

Well at least you don’t have to wait 30 to 60 days for that ceramic coat to be put on after the paint cures.

I really have no idea, it was just a wild guess. If only HDs and some 1500's are stored there then probably the average price would be higher. If the average rice was just over 70 grand then 1.5 Billion is a really rough ballpark figure.
What is a ceramic coat? I've seen that mentioned a few times.

KZT status as of this morning. Scheduled to hit Alliance, TX tomorrow. I think we have a few trucks currently sitting there waiting to get here, so hopefully a local transport will become available soon.

It’s an alternative for basic wax on the paint a lot of people are doing ceramic coat now.

Once they are invoiced to the dealer, the manufacturer gets paid. The dealer network is on the hook for the 1B until the vehicle is sold to the final customer, us... the manufacturers can care less how long the transaction takes after invoicing. Former dealer here, been there, done that.

Anyone have the ability to see where Vin 3c6tr5ej7ng262187 is in the shipping process?

Last update I received was second train heading to Denver.
