37x12.50R17 BF Goodrich KM3 tires run on the smaller side for 37s. I ran them on and off-road (stock wheels) and the rubbing was very minimal when turning off camber.

+25-27 mm offset seem to be what people suggest but i am running aev wheels with +27 and even with 35’s i rub offroad.

Don't get 37s if you are not willing to trim. Rubbing is guaranteed on stock suspension with any wheel and tire combination with 37s.

If you do not mind a little rubbing, then get BF Goodrich KO2.

I have Grabber AT/X 37s on AEV rims in my garage what are going on my PW when it shows up next week. I'll report back how well they fit.. They look huge. I have 35 Grabber X3s on my Jeep and these look so much bigger.

Edit: just heard from the dealership and doesn't look like I'm getting my truck this week. It's been sitting now for 10 days at the railyard just 60 miles away but they are saying they don't think it will be here this week?! I got the feeling they are waiting for the next train to come in to make a full truckload..

If you want a guarantee no trim with stock PW wheels, get a pair of 35x12.5 - Otherwise there will be a possibility of triming and rubbing depending on where you are and what you do.

The PW headlock capable wheels (introduced with the 75th Anniv Build) will run a 37x12.5 with no trimming on most tires, but you will rub at full lock on radius arm and track bar depending on your flex. I’m running Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT 37x12.5. So this is my personal experience. I was looking at the Yokohama Geolander X-AT as they were some of the smallest lightest I found, but I wasn’t patient to see them delivered.

AEV claims (and others agree) that their “proprietary” backspacing allows 37‘s on the powerwagon without rubbing or trimming. Off the top of my head - they are around 27mm offset w/ ~6in backspacing on 17x8.5. My local shop says 18-27mm offset with 5.75in backspacing.

Quick Edit: Also remember air pressure will make a huge difference. When I air down to 25-ish i rub a lot more then when I’m at 40 psi

I went ahead and threw the table I was looking at for 37’s online - I figure this will be helpful for others and we can grow it out. I was really curious in the weight as I was trying to keep it as light as possible.

Here is a form to enter in more tires, https://forms.gle/QvYvHzpBLXi3i89d8, we can add in 35 and 40’s if wanted.

You should be able to edit yoru response if you make a mistake. If someone wants direct access shoot me an DM with your e-mail.

Aev wheels do not have proprietary offset, they are advertised and stamped +27mm right on the wheel.

And you still get rub with AEV and the 37s I have. it’s minor with stock suspension but it’s there. I’m on MT Baja Legend MTZ which are 36.8 per the spec. Not trimming until suspension goes in next week, then I’ll decide.

Just going off what I’ve read and been told. They are stamped +27mm but won’t give the backspacing. I know it can be figured out, but they don’t want to share it - which is why i put it in quotes.

I Just think of backspacing vs offset as “metric vs sae” it’s not that simple, but kinda is. They both give you the same information.

the automotive industry has moved toward only using offset (mm) these days so not many folks advertise their backspacing. Some still advertise both.

and even under the right conditions I get a little rub with my Toyo 35's but it is minor and conditions have to be right ie playing in Moab.

there web site lists both offset and backspacing. 8.5 wide wheel is 5.8" and 10" wide is 4.8" backspacing.

Kick ass, I've been searching for it in the past and never could find it.

Here is an offset calculator and convertor. The page also details the difference for the two. https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/ since the wheel width and offset will determine the backspacing.

Great chart. Wish I had that a few weeks ago. I was doing all that math on paper, glad to know I did it correctly. I was really over thinking a wheel and 37" tire combo.

Super helpful. How are you liking your MT Baja Boss M/Ts? The Baja Boss A/Ts are the front runner for me right now as I weigh the options against BFG KO2s, WildPeaks etc.

For context, I'm likely going to get AEV Salta wheels in 17x8.5 and looking at 37s for the Bajas. Ideally would like to deal with little rub or trimming but I'm OK if I have to make a few adjustments. Thanks.

You mean 17x8.5 Salta's? (mounting a 37x12.5).

I have the beadlock-capable rims from the 75th and I rub at full lock on the radius arm and track bar. Barely. The Salta's should clear all of that, but you might experience a bit of rubbing on the wheel well liners, you should be able to take a heat gun to mold it away and it clear just fine (from what i've read).

I've got ~11,000 on the M/T's - they are okay, I wouldn't buy them again with my driving patterns. On dry pavement they easily loss grip; I've still can't get them balanced even with the centramatic's; And they are noiser now then when new; but still have a lot of tread left. I've had no issues with them with the mud and fire trails i drive.

If I could trade them in $1:$1 I'd try the Geolanders MT or ATX, or the Maxxis Razr M/Ts (I loved those on my avalanche)
