Getting ready to buy filters. Go to eBay and there are all these sellors of China made filters. Cummins part numbers, original looking boxes dirt cheep prices. What’s the deal?? Local dealer wants ransom prices for exact same looking filters and supply issues to boot. Are these China made counterfeits? Can anyone shed some info on this

These Chinese filter look exactly like the oem ones from the dealers. Amazon sells them also. Can’t tell them apart.
How much is a new engine? I wouldn’t touch the eBay knockoffs. If it was a dealership offering a deal on eBay I would trust them.

That said, I ordered some from Geno’s last week and they were delivered today.

Counterfeit by the Chinese for sure. They are good at one thing and that’s stealing our designs and producing it cheaper, with cheaper material. Been going on forever. Buyer beware!

Ordered from these guys last Wednesday in preparation for when I get my new truck.. They were delivered Monday 6/6, genuine Mopar. Price isn't too bad either considering the dealer wanted $165 just for the filters.

Check out the Baldwin fuel filters, I've used them in the past and seem like quality filters. They claim to meet or exceed OEM specifications.
I checked with the dealer and they said it wouldn't void my factory warranty

glad I'm not married to the oem filters. backorder. good lawd.
Par for the course these days, oem or not. I can't even get Bilstein shocks installed locally as all 3 shops that do them are backordered now for over a month. They have so many customers waiting that they stopped taking names for the waitlist and just say call in a month or two to see if we are caught up.

Ordered mine from Genosgarage last night. Back ordered and the email confirm said it’ll be 50 days for delivery.
still can’t find 5w40 anywhere here in Northern California.

Baldwin has always made quality filters

I recommend doing the black market performance rear CAT filter conversion kit for the rear filter. It's reasonably priced, install takes about as much time as fighting with the plastic cartridge housing, and then you can use easy to find reasonably priced and high quality CAT filters that spin on and off with ease.

They also make a conversion kit for the front filter but I wasn't brave enough to attempt that install.

The front oem filter is better filtration so i would leave it personally the rear is better with a CAT filter though

I'm running the rear bmp set up. have the front, just need to get it installed.

Does it plug

Check Napa. Their website says that Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W40 is available at most locations within a day or so.
