2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Love those std cab longbow trucks!
Thanks, I already swapped out the stock Firestone tires for some BFG KO2 tires. Man what a difference, lighter steering and nicer ride than the stock tires. Cant wait to add some more mods to this truck...

A question, when does the site that gives the build sheet populate? Or rather what stage of the build process? From what the young salesman informed me is that my truck has been
in E stage for a couple of days. Still no update on the Ram Vehicle Order page though. He then was excited to know if I was coming down to order a new Hellcat and trade in the wife's
RT Durango for an SRT. I sure would love to get over this hurdle before I consider doing even anything. The build sheet address that I am referring to is https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=
It sounds like there are some really special folks on here who can themselves check to see where an order might be, just in case: Sage VON 54901664 VIN 3C63RRRL8NG318897 Thanks
From what I understand Build sheet comes after D1 (2nd block on the tracker) and Before E (3rd block on the tracker), Window sticker comes at the end of the build process KZ (the 4th block on the tracker)

Equipment list comes after "I" or inspection.
Got it, I was going based on tracker stages. thank you @IowaPW

It’s all very unpredictable. I also ordered on 1/28, but mine was built 4/1 and delivered to Mark Dodge on 4/27. Under 13 weeks for the entire deal.

Now I ordered 1/29/22 and I’m D1 again , from what I’ve been reading and trying to make sense of there is no reason to this if MD orders more trucks than any one else it makes sense they get more delivered but don’t make them special they just ordered more . I am a employee so not sure any dealer can give me any better deal that I’m getting from my little Indiana dealer that treats me good and every 4th oil change is free and they call me by name as I walk in the door . I guess I’m say not a fan of big money and trying to bad talk the little dealers , **** I haven’t walked into a Walmart in 6 years . Just my opinion we need to support the little dealers or its only going to be Walmarts left … sorry only my opinion and there just like butt holes we all have one !

Thanks Guys, I was kind of confused because it was confirmed that as of Thursday my truck was in stage E but no build sheet. This site is wonderful for those of us who want to know about the truck orders, and quite a few chaps who are willing to volunteer information.

I think the reason why my truck is still in the D phase is because of the surround view camera that was on the list of the restraints there having And I think the color I orderd is a low volume color I got patriot blue

77C1E520-A78B-42C9-8E8A-26371DA610EB.jpgMine took 16 weeks to build. I have every option except the actual 5th wheel hitch. I ordered Patriot Blue as well. Ram is now telling me, estimated time to dealer, 6/28-7/11.

The surround may be restricted, the color is not listed as restricted on the build page. If that changed I'm not sure. I have the same color on my build.

I think most can agree with the sentiment, however, I’m not an employee and all my local “mom and pop” dealers wanted to charge me MSRP plus $2k to $5k. Kind of ruins the down home, everybody knows your name feeling if we’re being honest.

To put it in to perspective to how limited the “Order Tracker” really is: there are in actuality 64 build codes from beginning to end, and FCA has narrowed that down to only 6 codes to use on the tracker. Granted, the current tracker is leaps and bounds better than what we had a month ago, but it is limited at best. Example is my build - according to the tracker I was KZ on 5/19, but I am actually JB (at outside vendors) since 10pm on 5/19. If I only based my knowledge on the tracker, I would think I was in line to ship, when actually my truck isn’t even done.

Just remember that the tracker is a very broad brush stroke with a huge amount of “gray” in between the limited 6 build codes.

Well after waiting months for our suppliers to get some 35’s in and a customer never came and picked up his 285’s up I decided just to order 2 more and go with them. Luckily the supplier we get Toyo’s from only had 3 in stock.
This supply shortage is getting way outta hand and is probably why so many trucks aren’t being built in a timely manner..

My local wanted MSRP, which I ignorantly was going to pay. A couple of days later, they let me know they didn't have a 6.4 allocation. Thank goodness. I began some internet research and discovered MD. I had a really easy order process and a significant price reduction. I've about had it with local mom and pops. I built my house 15 years ago and the local mom and pop that supplied my plumbing fixtures couldn't get cartridges for the bath faucets because the mfg was out of business - a little time on amazon and I had replacements ordered. The local mom/pop appliance place couldn't (or wouldn't) get a new screen/control panel for our whirlpool dual oven that they had sold me but the many advertisers on ebay were up to the task. Mom and pops generally underwhelm me.

I also went local to order my new Ram. They were also MSRP & told me Everyone is working off that only. I did a quick search online (still trying to stay in my state) and found a dealer claiming to have get pricing on new custom orders. So I sent them my online build specs & they came back quickly with 6% off. I know i could have shopped around & probably beat it but I’ve done the out-of-state / flying / driving / hotel deals enough in the past. I was happy enough with this deal & still staying somewhat local ( dealer is about 45 minutes away) so now I’m just waiting for delivery.
BTW, my window sticker went up $2105 since I ordered too.

I hope for your sake that your truck didn't get buried in a storage lot, that is a long time to be in JB status, my limited took two days from start of production to the window sticker populating and a KZLD status.

I also bought mine local, they will do the affiliate pricing which is 1% under invoice. The 2-3k I would have saved if I went with MD would have been used up by missing time off work, airfare, and diesel driving back to Oregon, especially now with the crazy fuel prices. If I lived closer I definitely would have bought from them.
Nice dually, mine is supposed to be at the dealer between 6-25 and 7-10

It's not Stellantis fault at all, they are building the trucks as best they can, better than the other two. Even with the build order being messed up.

They are like everyone else, at the mercy of suppliers/vendors having the parts needed. I think people don’t understand just how many individual parts it takes to build anything from houses to vehicles.

I would agree that Stellantis is doing better than Ford. Can't speak to GM. I did have a Tremor on order but bailed after waiting tooooo long. There are many Ford Super Duty orders, not just a few, still waiting on build dates for MY 2022 orders placed in 2021 and with even longer delivery delays. Even with the unpredictability and delays, still glad I switched when I did. Just wish I had switched in February when I first considered doing it. Would of saved a couple of grand and had my order in faster for the Mega.
