How to stop truck from sending data to Stellantis - or where ever?

I never signed up for either SiriusXM or Ram Connect and don't have NAV. I do have an account on https://connect.ramtrucks.com, but have not paid for any Ram Connect subscriptions.

Yet, I get periodic emails from Ram Connect (the 3-month RAM Connect free trial is over) giving me all the health stats on my truck. Even though I don't have UConnect with NAV, I'm suspicious that that my truck is sending all sorts of data outbound to RAM or other endpoints.

Call me cynical - which I most definitely am - but I don't want some nefarious entity collecting driving data from my truck. I know my cell phone is sending crap everywhere, but I slip it into a Faraday bag most times when I leave the house to minimize the ears and eyes that are constantly following and storing my every move. Now it seems my truck is doing the same.

1. Can I turn this outbound data stream off; UConnect setting, alfaobd, unplug a modem, pull a fuse, cover the shark fin with tin foil, etc?

2. Or is, "tough turds, Jack. This is the completion of Big Brother and you're crap outa luck," the reply?

Dig into the privacy policy on your connect.ramtrucks.com page. In it you will find instructions on the hoops you must jump through to opt out of some or all telematics.

Bottom left of the page in the footer under Privacy Center.

If you do that, please make sure you keep the style going and get one of these..

jk lol, had to do it. I agree and also pay attention to where and how my information is used and stored/sold. I think you are pretty much safe by not signing up for the Uconnect stuff as I know they are operated by other companies and most certainly do the nefarious things you speak of. In regards to Ram, I do not think much can be done and covering the antenna will just ensure you do not have access to SXM radio.

Your cat is saying, "Good grief! Here we go again. I'll play along 'cause he gives me mounds of catnip."

remember just because you are paranoid does not mean they aren't out to get you. My 2020 must not send out anything as I have never gotten a health status of my truck or anything from Ram. heck i don't even get surveys from them.

Get rid of the Uconnecr radio....I believe thats the conduit to move data back and forth. But I also read there is a separate telematics module.
