7 way Y connector question

Tried the search function, excuse my lack of knowledge.
Have a slide in truck bed camper plugged in full time to the 7 way at rear bumper. It only feeds brake lights/turn signals and running lights when sun sets.
Have a tripped planned where I will be renting a motorcycle trailer.
Can I simply purchase a 7 way Y connector and have piece of mind that it will handle the additional brake/run/turn signal lights of the trailer while still operating camper lights?

Yes it can do both but i mean technically you dont need the camper lights if you have the trailer on

I would think that the tow vehicle still needs working brake lights.

Get the Y connector. Problem solved and no issues with the law.

Tow vehicle would have lights the in box camper should not cover the tail lights

Problem solved. Went ahead and ordered the Y connector.
