I'm using an outside vendor and I have the loan "scheduled" to start on June 3rd and my first payment is Aug 1. So you should have a grace period like bmidd31 mentioned. Just make sure there are no pre-payment penalties. There aren't from my bank.

I know! Ridiculous isn't it! And the blame lies squarely on corporate, not the dealer, or the rail companies. This truck is destined for Phoenix. There have been several members on this forum whose trucks were built after this one that were delivered to dealers in Phoenix weeks ago.
Technically it's the shippers baby now, and the dealers.

I'm in the same boat, mine has been KZ since 4/25 and also headed to Salt Lake (Via Phoenix). Hoping there's enough of us to get a train soon..

Like do they just sit there watching porn or youtube all day? Lol :D One thing that might work to our benefit is the 2023s will start to be built and they might start giving some incentives on the 2022s
You have a bit of a wait for 23's

Ram trucks are awesome. Ram’s corporate tracking & communications with regard to the delivery process leaves something to be desired…

Last week I was told by Ram Customer Service that the ETA of my new DRW truck to the dealer in Huntington, NY was supposed to be between May 17th - 24th. With the 24th being tomorrow (Tuesday), I called Ram today to make sure that delivery from the Port of Davisville to Huntington Ram on Long Island was still “on track.”

1st call to them - representative told me that my truck left the plant and was in the delivery process(?)!!!

2nd call to them 15mins later - different representative advised that the ETA for delivery to the dealership on Long Island would be by the 24th.

Let’s see what tomorrow holds, but I’m NOT optimistic!

Such BS. Ram really needs to get it together. When it comes down to it, customers are willing to wait for a quality truck to be built & delivered. However, all they really want (in my opinion) is transparent communication along the way.

NOTE: I’ve posted this before; when I ordered my truck in December 2021 I asked the dealer if I’d have the truck by May 1st. They looked at me like I had 3 heads and replied that they saw no reason why I shouldn’t receive it by the end of March. I also called Ram Customer Service after the truck was built on February 17th and they told me that I should have the truck by the end of March. HERE WE ARE ON MAY 23RD & NO TRUCK!
My truck has been sitting in port also horizon highway just left port and should be in davisville on the 29th are our truck on the ship no way of telling mine is destined for browns good luck

I stand corrected. I was under the impression that Grupo Tracomex is owned by Stellantis, but I now understand it is owned by a group of Chrysler dealers. According to the documents I have seen the last movement of the vehicle was to the Tracomex Saltillo yard on 3/6/22. And there it remains.

I'm hoping mine made it but a RORO ship is only designed to hold about 6000 cars. That would mean that between the other manufacturers and Ram they would be able to ship a small quantity. This is an assumption but likely only about 1500 cars total from Jeep and Ram (1500 and 2500) and based off the ~15k they are building monthly that's only like 10%.

I bet you two are on the same boat. 3/31 and 4/1 loading dates.

I doubt I'll be eligible for any incentive and it would most likely be offset by the rising interest rates.

You planning on going through Ram for financing? My local credit union is pretty good and laughed when they heard the dealer wanted to try and beat their rates her exact words "They can try, but we can beat theirs". Right now they are offering 60 month at 2.69%, 72 month at 2.94%, and 84 month at 3.29%. I'll take the incentives and use my credit union.

So they beat Ram by .3% on the 60 month... I guess that's impressive? I'm not sure, but for me I'm not impressed

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

I think they've started taking orders but when would they start producing the 23s? Would it be after all the 22 orders have been fulfilled?
I would image they would have to wait until after all of the 22 are built so they can retool for whatever changes are done to the 23. But - that doesn't mean they have to get all the 22 shipped first..

If they are still offering the 0% I will.

I will definitely see if we can do that one, and we will have a down payment (got a great offer for his mom's car and will be getting that transaction finalized in a couple days). He said he doesn't mind doing the loan thing for a few months, so that's a relief off my shoulders.

What's the difference in paying 3 months at $1,000 and saving (from your inheritance) the $3000 you would have been spending ? The interest is 630 bucks give or take...

Or walk away of your financially extending yourselves , which is seems like from your comments, not judging but not understanding your logic

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

No, not walking away because this is my husband's dream truck, and he deserves it...and I know how many guns we have because half of them are mine :). It really would not be that great a burden, but I'm very frugal and we have worked hard over the years to get to where we are now. I think we will do the down payment and finance it for a few months until the house sale is finalized...then pay that baby off in 3 months, as long as the contract doesn't state we have to pay on it for at least 6 months before paying off without a penalty. If so, we will just have to do that.
