Do you simply pick the design you want then put your make and model in the comments?

I searched the site and did not see anything specific for RAM HD?

Hey guys, I'll post pictures once mine gets in. It does appear to me after reading through the description that we'll have to use the base of the original boot and adhere these to the stock plastic base.

I'll be happy to just have a material that lasts. I ordered mine in the black leather.... Sorry to disappoint on not getting one of the crazy patterns lol.

That's what I did when I ordered to make sure they knew to make it with the ram measurements

I noticed stitchboots is based out of Ohio so I reached out to them to see if they were close to me. She is a little over an hour from me and is based out of Cincinnati. I was going to offer to drive my truck to her so she could see an OEM boot. She mentioned she had measurements but it would be amazing if she had the actual piece in front of her. Does anyone have an old boot laying around they could ship down to her, she mentioned she would send it back when you place your order? An hour is just a little to far for me to drive down at the moment (wife is out of town and I have the kiddos). If someone has one ill throw in a few bucks to help with shipping or throw in a few bucks to order a OEM one to mail her.

Let me know what you guys think? With only measurements I think its going to be hard to replicate the OEM design but I could be wrong.

If I had my original one I would offer it up. I wonder if there would be a ram dealer close to her so that we were positive she was getting the correct part.

When I did a search for the boot for my 2022, I got a different part number than what is listed in this thread

Listed in post 20 = 68480815AA

What I found = 68400287AA

Seems the first PN is for 2020 only for some reason. The second is 2011-2022 and does not include 2019 and 2020.

Anyone know about this? Which model year were the dimensions taken from and sent to Stitchboots?

Must be the CP4.

Interesting, the measurements taken were from my truck.

I have sent Stitch Boots a new Mopar shift boot part number 68400287AA for them to use as a pattern to make the leather shift boots. This will have the plastic trim mounting ring so they can hopefully design the leather boot to work well with.

Per several Mopar parts websites this fits various HD models between 2011-2018 and 2021-2022. No clue why it is not listed for 2019 or 2020. Maybe they tried a new one and it was not any better and in 2021 went back to the old part number.

Thank you, that goes above and beyond for all of us that have ordered or will order these shift boots!

I have no problem attaching to the ring, can’t be hard. I just want to make it fits right and not a big sloppy mess lol. If it’s too big around the shifter arm it’ll look dumb but what do I know. I didn’t even know I had beads until this thread lol.

I dunno man... Hotdog down a hallway is far better than blue waffles. To each their own though I suppose..:p

My order shipped today. Here’s feedback from Stitch Boots on using the factory boot retainer

I just got the amazon boot, it looks fairly simple and that the new boot can be glued to the retainer. If the shift boot was mine, I would cut the factory one off as best as I could, and glue the new boot ontop of it

I’ve asked if there’s a recommended glue. Will reply with what I hear back.

I think I recall on her website the recommendation being weatherstrip adhesive that you can buy at most auto parts stores. I'll have to look again.
