Just noticed yesterday mine now has rubber debris collecting at the base. What a terrible design!

Just to reiterate, I believe this part to be either a Dorman or equivalent Made in China sorry-excuse-for-rubber-that-isn't-really-rubber part. I've experienced this with Dorman parts before (Gen 3 rear door wiring/boots). They (Dorman) are complete junk.
Please move this up the chain if you're able.
FWIW, even though I would buy something better, I would make the dealer replace the part anyway so it's logged and tracked. Enough replacements and maybe something will be done.

IMHO, it's more the junk material than the design.

Nd79, one question. You'd mentioned she has all the measurements, does this include correct sizing for the shifter arm itself? Just curious as the pictures all reflect a large opening.
Hahaha I haven't decided on a pattern yet. But something other than black would be interesting. I even looked at a plaid pattern and thought that might be kinda funny. I could tell people I made it with some old underwear lol.
Great question, I actually didn't supply her with that measurement but I'll go wrap a string around my column shifter and email her that measurement. She didn't ask for it so I'm not sure if she makes that part stretch or something.

Cool, not a deal breaker by far. Maybe it needs to be open to allow movement? Who knows.
@Brutal_HO just want to confirm, am I correct in thinking that the conversation tab on my phone (web browser) is a private message? I have responded a couple times already and just want to make sure those messages aren't public.

They are private.
Member profile settings may have e-mail notification for PM's turned off and they'll not see anything unless they are online or perhaps getting Tapatalk notices.
Profile posts are public and I don't see any.

Awesome! Also, thank you @Brutal_HO for outlining the process on getting this to happen for me and everyone else.
I just placed my order on stitchboots.com. when I clicked on the one I wanted I left a note in the comments that this was not universal but for the Ram HD measurements. Then at checkout there was a space for the discount code. Should be as easy as that. I'll update here with pictures once it gets in. Looks like a couple weeks.

Well, I have noticed mine has the rubber beads and already pretty heavy wear spots and the truck has 10k/km only..
