Well today I went and picked up another 2022 Ram. The one on the right is the trade and the one on the left is the new one. Old one was a bighorn and new one is a tradesman. I got the TM pretty much loaded up, Safety package, tow package, 5th wheel group, 12 inch radio and all the cameras. The BH had the HO motor and the TM has the regular Cummins. This is not a debate about the diesel's or transmissions. I drove the BH there to dealer about 250 miles and averaged about 12mpg with the 4.10 gear. I drove the TM home the same amount of miles and averaged 17.5mpg. I tow a Grand Design Momentum about 7 times a years so the truck is basically babied. Let me just say that Ram is stupid with the packages, and I work there. You can't or couldn't get the BH with a tow package but I could get it on the TM. wth? Anyway the TM was 10 times better on the ride home. The first thing I noticed was the air suspension, it makes a HUGE difference in the ride. It rode so much better than the BH without the air suspension. Secondly I didn't notice a huge drop-off in power with the SO engine. The adaptive cruise and steering are awesome along with the BSM and digital mirror. The 12 inch radio works way smoother than the 8.4 and the features like Nav and wireless CarPlay are phenomenal. I was a little bummed about some small things,I could not get the TM with heated seats or wheel and the remote start. The dealer did install the remote start though, I just can't access it in the RAM app like I did on the BH. That was a nice feature starting it from basically anywhere and it being warm when I get in. I was trying to get a truck that was functional and not break the bank. I ended up being able to walk out of the dealer and only pay 46 grand for a 78500 dollar truck and I didn't put a dime down. I took advantage of a crazy used car market and employee discount. So overall I am pleased with the new TM, I did have the dealer swap the wheels also, so the new TM got the nice rims and tires. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a positive experience with their RAM and keeps buying them, I hope to retire soon lol.

Great info. I was set on buying an optioned out tradesman and agree about the options packages. The lack of heated seats and removing the floor buckets made me go up to a BH. Also when you add the ram box on the BH it forces you into level C, not the case with the tradesman. Definitely wish the options were more al la carte.

Is there anyone you emailed directly? If so would you pass along the email. Thanks

I did send an email on Saturday to that address. Did they ever drop a phone number?

OK well i sent an email. I will send another in a few days. I don't really get what is so hard? We will see? Thanks

The only thing that broke the deal on the TM for me was the lack of the MegaCab and heated seats or steering wheel. I didn't want the safety, or other features so i didn't care whether it was a BH or TM but wanted the MC for the family and wife needed the heated seats and steering wheel.

I'm in the same boat. I wanted a Big Horn but wanted the tow tech and trailer surround so ended up ordering a Tradesman. I think it's dumb you can get those and the 12" screen but can't get remote start.

What really bothered me was the dealer added the remote start with the sales code and then I still can't get it on the app to start it from anywhere on my phone? The way they do the packages is really dumb. To get a few options that I would have liked, I need to go to a Laramie and it was going to be another 10 grand. So I am happy with the TM and have it as loaded as I could get it. The 12 inch screen, adaptive cruise, digital mirror and various other tech stuff is really really nice.

So let me get this straight, if ordering the truck BH with remote start from the factory that is an option but not on the tradesman. If that's the case it has to be somewhere in the display/PCM settings that is programmed into the truck. I would think the dealer would just have to check a box on the programming or reprogram the display.

Yes, you can't get a TM with remote start. The dealer installed the factory remote and added it to the sales code. He even sent me a pic where they added it. All that needs to happen is for it to be added to the app? Not freaking hard.
