Back when I bought my 2019, the salesmen told me they were the blindsopt sensors. I tried to tell him they are reverse lights, but he was so sure I was wrong I just gave up. Wasn't worth my time.So...3 Rams later I finally know what those are...
Damnit
Throwing this out there as I didn't realize you had to have the switch depressed for them to come on in reverse. I believe the correct terminology is "trailer spotter lights".

You have a 1500 tho? Just using the 2500 bcm code to enable the lights. For anyone else who retrofits these mirrors, with help from Jimmy07, he gave me the names of the values i had to enable in alfaOBD, they are:
Doors: Mirror Rear Guidance Lights: Yes
Doors: power convex mirror: Yes
I couldn't find them yesterday because i was using the android app, I had to use the windows version of Alfa to force it to show me the BCM options for a 2020 2500, once I was in there they stood right out.
Gotta say i'm really impressed with these LED's, they're mean little bastards and throw way more light than I would've expected. I took this picture last night in my garage:

I have a 2019 1500 and just upgraded to these mirrors everything is working besides the lights
Hi there, I’m looking to do the same thing. Did your idea work.. in other words, did the shroud stay on? If so, if you don’t mind, what did you use and could you show a close up photo of it.? I tried zooming in on your photos but it’s hard to actually see the shroud. ThanksI did a thing.
I molded a little shroud out of Sugru to block the light source so I don’t dazzle myself with them when using the mirror to reverse.
We will see if it stays stuck or if I have to augment it with some 3M tape. But so far, so good.
