2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

All, first post here, came across this thread when I was researching what “In transit” means on the truck I just put a despot on about a week ago. Dealer says logistics issues are everywhere and dealer tracking is down.

I’m sweating bullets hoping it shows up before Memorial Day weekend when I have a trip planned. I was able to find out it’s shipping status is KZM. Can anyone on here give me anything more useful than that? Should I add a row to that spreadsheet? Many thanks in advance for any help, very glad I ran across this thread.

Feeling the same. We bought a new travel trailer. We have been waiting since September 13 2021 for our 3500 Big Horn Diesel Mega Cab. No answers as to build date let alone delivery. We have campgrounds booked. Very frustrating

Luckily mine was a dealer stock order that was KZM when I put my deposit down. brv10 was able to tell me it’s now KZT which means I should only be a couple weeks or so out, maybe less here in Denver. So getting close! Now looking at motorcycle ramps, so I can load my Harley bagger in the back, which was the reason for a long box. Getting excited, this truck will be a huge upgrade to my 2019 Titan, should pull my 30’ super light trailer like it’s not even there and prepare me for a 5th wheel toy hauler in a couple years.

Best of luck to you on getting yours in time! And huge thanks to everyone on here making me feel better about the wait and encouraging me to stick it out. I actually missed a 2022 3500 Laramie used with 5,200 miles on it by 3 hours yesterday for about the same price as my new order, but im going to just wait at this point.

When and where did you order? We ordered from dealer in Fergus Ontario September 13 2022. We are given no answers from dealer when or if built let alone when we will receive Truck. We ordered a Big Horn 3500 Diesel Mega Cab, Bright White.
September 13 2021 NOT September 13 2022 ‍♀️♀️

Wow! Ordered 1/24 and already delivered? Are other people who ordered in mid January to mid February seeing similar time frames? I ordered from MD on 1/24, for my VIN 1/25, and so far no more movement beyond there. Renae at MD has been very willing to help, but I don’t even have a build date yet. Anybody got any ideas why some trucks are so delayed compared to others? I know it probably has to do with options I ordered. I ordered a very basic(basically stripped down) tradesman 3500 HO Cummins. I’m sure a lot do the questions I’m asking are answered in this thread, but it’s growing so fast it’s hard to keep up with all the info. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I ordered 1/31 Sittin at walmart in my truck right now. Picked it up 4/30 yesterday around noon. Mines a 2022 2500 Big Horn cummins with a lot of add ons Muddvain line 1106 atm. A lot on the January and early February truck orders have moved similarly luck of the draw i suppose

Same about the “worth the wait” comments, felt a little cheesy saying it, but it’s the only way I could describe it.

I wish a DRW could get mileage like that. I’m not displeased with my selection, I needed something reliable to tow 20k consistently. My buddy and his 10-spd Denali DRW is rubbing his 20 MPGs in my face. Cummins and I just have a history, and I’m not going to walk away from that for 4 more MPG.

Nah end of the day good MPG matters some but its what you love and what you wanna drive that really matters i mean were buying HD trucks not EVs or commuter cars lol i love the DRWs but dont need to tow that much honestly 18k is tops for me.

Sounds good. My is a really stripped down 3500 Cummins HO truck. I’m sure it’s something I ordered that’s slowing it down. Thanks for the info.

Agreed. And I have a Tesla Model S as my other ride, it will balance out for me

No difference in a 3500 DRW with or without the max tow package. All the max tow package does is group together various options that are independently available under one banner.

Max Tow Package includes:

- High Output Cummins w/ Aisin Transmission
- Fifth Wheel / Goosneck towing prep package
- 12” DRW axle with 4.10 Ratio
- Mopar 30k Direct Mount 5th wheel hitch
- Air Suspension
- CHMSL with LED lighting and cargo view camera
- DOT roadside safety kit

Those can be ordered independently as well.

As far as towing capacity is concerned, is your truck built and delivered yet? If it is, the VIN search should find it on their towing capacity website.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering because my new 22 3500 seems like it sits lower than my 19 3500 and I was wondering if the springs were different. Both were equipped the same except I had the Max tow package on the 19 and since I already had the 5th wheel hitch, I ordered all of the items from the package separately on the 22 and saved $200. Of course, now that I think about it I could have gotten the Package and then sold the hitch for $500 and made some money. I picked up my truck on Friday but when I go to the page to find out the capacity it says no VIN found

Were both trucks HO w/ Aisin?

Good possibility they are prioritizing trucks with the higher options first, run out of parts for the upper level trucks and work on lower optioned trucks to fill in production time...

Just an FYI for all of those MD orders - was coming home from work yesterday afternoon and the 5 acre parking lot where all of the new vehicles are unloaded in Port Allen was at least 3/4 full of vehicles. Granted, not all were trucks or even Chrysler products, but compared the the 1/4 full 2 weeks ago, the lack of transit info, and the number of people that took deliveries in the last 2 weeks, we can be hopeful! It at least gave me a smile
