I have a 2020 ram 3500 4 x 4 with rear air suspension and B &W slider hitch. I’ve been looking at the Carly 3 1/2 inch lift. I am curious if anyone else has done this a lift and also tows a fifth wheel. The Carly lift is damn expensive and I don’t wanna spend the money if I can’t tow level. Thanks for the input!

I would give the guys a call over at CJC a call. My 2019 2500 mega cab has the 3” Carli Pintop with kings. They did the work. But I’m upgrading to a 3500 soon. I called and talked to them about added a system to a 3500 They said I wouldn’t lose payload if I did the exact same lift.

I did tow my 5fth wheel with my current truck and it sucks cause of the coil spring suspension defiantly need a 3500 with leafs. Clearance on towing my fifth wheel was totally fine I didn’t have an issue with it. Didn’t do terrible with airbags added but I’m planing on doing some cross country stuff sometime in the future.

My buddy has a small lift on his. I don’t think it’s much more than a level, because he runs 35”s. Looks good pulling his goose and his trailer is level.

I think 3”+ is too much for a truck pulling a 5th wheel but that’s my opinion.

It probably depends a lot on the 5th wheel. I have about 35" tires and no lift. My 5th wheel is high in the front. I wanna say someone posted a pic here awhile back of their truck on 37s pulling a 5th wheel and it looked fine.

Depending on the trailer axles, you may be putting an extra load on the rear wheels with that much lift. If you tow long distances, that could be a problem in time. Shorter trips, probably not as big of a concern.

GN float is a completely different story as they have much more box clearance so you can adjust them level

Carli only makes that one kit for the rear air suspension trucks, that kit was designed for 37s and i thought 35s would look funny.

Not sure why you couldn't just use the level lift springs and adjust the bag sensors instead of using the 3.25 coils, but it was one of the reasons I ordered my new truck without the air suspension, Also if I went 37s, It would be a pain to carry a spare tire, currently I have a 35 in the stock location on my 13 megacab.

I'm going to go down to CJC next week and order the parts for my 2022 3500, I'll see what other options they have.

You will be fine. That lift is made for that truck and to retain all towing performance, nothing to worry about. As far as 5th wheel. You may need to adjust the tongue on it so sd to level it out, I did on one weekend warrior, it was 4 bolts to adjust.

You maynot need to adjust anything.

I have a 2021 2500 Cummins and a Keystone Raptor 423. I put in an Air Lift Liftloader 5000 and was very pleased. After 900 miles it handled perfectly without sagging. I am waiting on a 3500 DRW that I ordered before the Raptor. See pic

I put the Carli 3.25” coils, control arm drop brackets, remote res shocks, and track bar on the front of my 22 Dually and used 2” leaf and air bag spacers in the rear. You do NOT have to use the expensive “air ride lift kit.” I have the adjustable revel arms for the air bag sensors, but even using the stock arms the truck sits level with little air in them for a comfortable ride unloaded.

I tow a 42ft toy hauler and it sits just a little nose high. 35’s on the truck. My toy hauler is a Genesis supreme and sits very high stock. It definitely depends on the 5th wheel you’re hauling. Some sit much higher than others.

Going on a trip next Wednesday I’ll take a pic with about 20k hooked up.

Well I’m not on perfectly level ground, but this is close to 20k with “Alt Trailer Height” being used. Sits pretty level. It is slightly nose high if I don’t use alt trailer height. This toy hauler does sit fairly high though.
