2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Talked to me dealer today, he stated I have a date of may 15th, I emailed him back and asked what that date means, and asked if that is the build date. He stated back, that is the shipping date. Has anyone else's dealer given them a shipping date like that? I thought that most got 'build dates' and that shipping would follow. I see some waiting up to 6 weeks after the build.

I also asked about a loaner truck for first couple trips, we will see what he says.

I got the same thing from my dealer. She said shipping date of 4/27 and takes about 30 days to come in to dealer. Ram chat still says it’s been scheduled. So I dunno what to think.

If it says shipping 4/27, then some time tomorrow you should get your equipment list. My "Ship Date" was yesterday, and I got my equipment sheet around mid day, then went KZ some time later. I didn't notice it until this morning on the sheet, and was dated yesterday.

Well I took delivery of the 3500 limited HO today and yes I’m going to rub it in lol I’ve waited 31 weeks and 1 day to to get this thing so yes here it is
That is an awesome color! I was down to that and the Patriot Blue.

Wasn’t for this group I’d never gotten one update till it showed up at dealer and they want their money
absolutely right. I would have never found out my truck was damaged if it wasn't for this group and helping me understand all the ordering process and tracking. dealer never once updated me it's all been by spreadsheet and on here or phone calls to ram. I updated the dealer as I got details from here. I'm sure they are making thousands on my deal still. no one sales a truck for a loss unless it to help make a sales bonus to make up for it. I do think rhey are great people but if members on here have access my dealers can see the same in dealer connect so why wasn't I getting phone calls. I like being in the know of something especially this big of purchase. congrads to all that recieved there truck undamaged. if it's sitting for awhile might be a good idea to reach out to trucking company responsible for moving it to a dealer they will tell u if it's damaged or key issue. just saying that's how I found out my mechanical hold was for front end damage still waiting to find out how bad. sad thing is I have my check in hand from navy federal with no truck.

I received my initial 4/2 and the updated 4/25 shipping date from the dealer. The statuses I got from cross-referencing what RAMChat gave me in the morning (JS) , and later from the spreadsheet (KZ).

Status updates from the spreadsheet are only in the form of population of the Equipment Listing and Window Sticker. This is done by ODS. He gives no status codes. For all other status code updates, you need to provide that info to ODS.

Damn, and those checks are only good for a minute! I think they told me 16 days!? That didn’t make sense to us. Dude I hope your situation gets resolved quick, deployments wait for nothing, and these sales have timelines. At best one option, you don’t want to hear, would be to start looking at the ‘23 and roll your deposit on one of those. If you didn’t go with MD, I’d look at recouping the deposit and going that route.

I hate to see a fellow Sailor in a tough spot.

From what I've seen and understand so far, it is the date that they ship it to the next stage in the build process. For mine, it looks like it is more specifically when they shipped it to the vendor items (bed liner, etc.).

That’s the way Renea at MD explained it to me

It seems to be that the "ship date" is the date that the truck will be moved into production. These dates are always on the start of the week that the truck will be built (pending any delays or changes to the date). My truck had a "ship date" of 2/27 if I recall and was built the Tuesday of that week. I saw the equipment listing on 3/1 and window sticker on 3/2 if I remember the dates correctly. It nothing changes your truck should be built the week of the May 15th if I understand the process correctly.

I last checked with my dealer on Friday and I was D1 with estimated ship date of 4/28. It went into trim yesterday and paint today, so it appears that my estimated ship date of 4/28 is when it will be done and built. It had bedliner, fifth wheel prep and power running boards as well which I believe are all after the initial factory build but could be wrong.

Sorry guys...ship date is exactly what it implies. It is the date it is anticipated to go KZ. The dealers are yanking your chain with the explanation that is the date moving to the next phase.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but we went over 31,000 post today on this thread!

I guess it’s really not practical to tell newcomers to “go back and read from the beginning” at this point is it? (Then again, if they do, they might actually get finished before their truck goes KZ-X)

It would be a good way to pass the time while saddling up and playing the wait game :D:D:D

The estimated ship date can change. Gotta keep on your dealer to get the latest info.
