2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Sometimes depends on the tax difference it might pay to trade vs sell outright. We would've had to get 2k more than trade to break even and no one reached out for 2k more on FB.
I'm saving about $2500 in taxes with my trade-in provided they give me what I was supposed to get about a month ago when they quoted my truck's delivery. For some though, selling on marketplace or Craigslist may be more beneficial or even out.
Same

96 days since ordering for me and still sitting in Mexico..ugghhh
Day 124 here, still in Mexico, no sign of departure anytime soon.

I do know the system has been spotty. I am not making excuses for the dealers but their hands are tied. The problem is at the factory shipping level. They are making 900 a day but not able to ship that many. They are not even shipping 25% of what is being built.

Makes me wonder how much longer it'll actually be down, RamChat seems to be using it as their delivery ETA excuse currently.
Yesterday RamChat told me "Unfortunately, my system is updating today, I advise you to contact your selling dealership or you may contact us tomorrow for an update on the Estimated Time of Arrival." I'd just like to know if I've caught a train ride yet.

That's pretty similar to what I've been getting for the last week now, usually I get told "Check back in a week" though.... maybe it's coming back online soon?

Don't know if anyone has posted, but there is this son dad team on Youtube who write to these things and the present automarket. The dad spent like 47 years as a dealer car sales. This video is HOW TO ORDER a truck, Ram's in particular.

Checked earlier today for my EL but no luck. Ram chat said it’s in the paint stage so hopefully the EL and WS will populate soon! 3/3/22 order date. 2500 Laramie Night Edition Cummins crew cab

Great content on their channel. Solid information and a big fan of the father-son banter! Thanks for posting.

Nice. Good info. Glad my dealer was not adding the extra stuff when I ordered. I am expecting some "sales pitches" on extra stuff when I pick it up.

My 2500 srw limited ne ordered 1/2/22 built 3/15 as far as I know sitting in train yard awaiting a ride I canceled my may trip just wondering how long to New York may have to cancel June vacation

Talked to me dealer today, he stated I have a date of may 15th, I emailed him back and asked what that date means, and asked if that is the build date. He stated back, that is the shipping date. Has anyone else's dealer given them a shipping date like that? I thought that most got 'build dates' and that shipping would follow. I see some waiting up to 6 weeks after the build.

I also asked about a loaner truck for first couple trips, we will see what he says.

From what I've seen and understand so far, it is the date that they ship it to the next stage in the build process. For mine, it looks like it is more specifically when they shipped it to the vendor items (bed liner, etc.).
