2020 ordering?

Your right on the investments. Anyone that's still in the stock mkt will more than likely never recouped there losses in there lifetime, but if we all thought what's the point our economy would collapse. You learn how to get smart with your investments as you grow old. Once you get enough to retire on, take it an put it in secure acct were you can't loose. You might not have the monster gains but boy o boy is there something to say for security. Its crazy out there right now, every one be safe.

Well i guess it's official gourd announced the shut down all factories in us, canada,Mexico. Gm an eta said there closing all plants in North America. So same thing, here is the caption.
Fiat Chrysler said it will cease operations at its plants across North America
My dealer is trying to tell me, yah but yours is out of the factory an in storage. I laughed at them an said you must think I'm stupid. The uaw builds em, inspects em, loads em, an ships em, now what you got to say willis

Finally picked up my truck! On Sunday I flew up to Boise, and picked it from the Dennis Dillon dealership. Then drove back to Las Vegas on Monday. Overall very happy with how it all turned out. The F&I guy was what I expected. Slipped a $300 etching fee by me, as well as trying to sell me a 7 yr/100,000 mile warranty for almost $5000 lol. He didn't disclose the etching fee to me until he finally printed out the contract with all the details. I wasn't happy about that. Ended up negotiating the extended warranty down to a little under $2k. I have a Diamondback bed cover on order, and will probably get a set of black/machined wheels at some point.

Stuff I really like - interior fit and finish, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist (it actually turns the wheel to keep you from veering off line), the media part of the infotainment system, all the cameras, air suspension, and the power of the diesel. I got pretty much every option except the aux switches.

Stuff I don't like (or at least haven't figured out yet) - the navigation system sucks - but I have Android auto so I use Waze. The Ram nav system wasn't able to figure out a single destination using voice commands. Every other car I own is much superior to the Ram for voice control. The actual audio quality is just okay - lacks a punchy bass but otherwise is acceptable. It really has a forward sound output. Unless you adjust it to coming almost all the way from the back, it's all coming from the front. I prefer the audio to be centered in the vehicle (minor point I know).

Here's my timeline from ordering to picking it up.

Sweet looking rig cobra. Let me ask you how did you get it out of storage in just 3 days, mines been in that stage for 2 wks now. Also please tell me that it did not have any damage

Sweet truck, I have a 2020 3500 mega cab and have to agree with you on the sound system, sometimes sounds like its tuned to AM station. hope to have it looked at when first service comes around. Anyhow congrats on the truck.

17 speaker HK stereo that sounds like ****? Great.

Yeah, that's why I didn't waste my money on the Laramie 2 pkg. Didn't need to spend $2200 more for just heated rear back seats ( for the dogs) an 17 speakers instead of 10. Of coarse on the longhorn it comes with that with the l1 pkg

Yep, the Nav system can't find it's own ass with both hands. Very annoying. I'm not an audiophile, but for something billed as premium the 17 speaker system is pretty lame, plus I'd rather have all that underseat storage that damn sub takes up.

Let's hope that extended warranty is Mopar Max Care or you should call and cancel it asap. Also you should have demanded the $300 "etching" fee be removed as you didn't request it, whether they already did it or not isnt your problem.

Wtf is an etching fee. Is that where they etch the leather. I know I sound old. Also I still want to hear how an the heck did it only spend 3 days in storage. Mine is stuck in saltillo corona storage virus hell

Nice truck.

The first thing I found most aggravating is there is no speech to text for message replies. Canned messages only. WTF? I guess it just doesn't have enough CPU.
Agree the Nav is kinda worthless and no NAV in motion even more so.
So far the fit and finish seems good (for a US product*) though I have a couple nits I noticed after taking delivery.
1. The passenger side A pillar trim piece is not "hooked" into the dash nearest the windshield so it's got a huge gap.
2. There's a defect in the bed. On the driver side in the rear, the bed is pushed up/elevated a bit at the rearmost seam about 4 inches in from the tailgate opening.

Not a complaint, just something I found by accident: The media volume and NAV speech volume are controlled separately. It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't hear the NAV until I discovered this. The audio volume would lower each time it spoke but was completely silent. You have to adjust the volume of each while they are active.

* I would say probably a bit better than my 04.5 fit and finish, but I'm biased after having owned an Audi that has perfect fit and finish and whose interior gets copied by everyone.

FWIW, I got an FCA 8/60 Maxcare Plan for $1085. $100 over dealer cost. They tried pushing their dealer warranty and maintenance plan first and I laughed. I had an $1185 price already from Ziegler and beat them up with it.

I just have to ask, what is the reason why any one would pay to have the vin etched on the wind shield out of curiosity

Yeah definitely not a chance in he!! That id pay for that, let alone 300. They could either give it to me or replace the windshield with what I ordered.

Nice looking truck if you don't mind me asking who was you salesman at Dennis Dillon ?

I think they etch all the windows. That would piss me off and I can see them trying to pull that stunt on a lot vehicle, but I just can't fathom a dealer doing that on a factory order.

Exactly. This a 1000000 times.
Dealer would get the middle finger if he tried to pull this BS on my order.

like I said, no way would I pay for that. There not going to lose the sale over that but as hot headed as i can get, i probably would be so torqued off I'd walk out if they refused to subtract
