Price negotiated from MSRP

I got it from this site https://www.jeep.com/wagoneer/wagoneer.html and I've actually gotten a different version of it since the first one.

The other version is $500 off 'some' Stellantis vehicles but excludes Ram 2500/3500 and is good until Feb 2023.

The first one expires May 2 and was $1,500 that included Ram 2500/3500.

The most recent is $1,500 towards a wagoneer......

I signed up my email for updates and got a code, I searched inventory and got a code, I went to build and got a code after like 5 tries.

Day late and dollar short as I purchased a wagoneer like 2 weeks ago, need to start getting offers for the 2023 so I can get the extended version.

HI all, I just posted this over in the HD forum but I will ask here as well

I just ordered a Big Horn 2500 with a bunch of options. I have a code from my company as we are a Chrysler supplier/affiliate and got the FFP pricing which came to $4449 off MSRP (7% off MSRP). the HB was listed at $1966 on my invoice. other dealers would not even honor my FFP pricing code for vehicles on their lot or order.

how did I do considering the current climate?

most on here have gone with the larger volume dealers that are pricing below or around employee pricing - which is around 11-12% off MSRP ...probably a couple grand in your situation. if you're happy with what you agreed on - roll with it and act like you never knew there was another option

Thanks, Good to know. I dont need to act like i never knew because flying out of town then driving all the way back is not worth 2k in savings, and the cost associated with doing that.

agreed in your case ....99% that are going out of their way to buy from these larger discounting dealers are comparing MSRP dealers or even market adjustment dealers...so saving $8-10k+

one aspect to possibly check with any order is what happens in the case the MSRP increases in between your order and when the truck is built. Some dealers are allowing for price protection meaning "your" price won't change if the MSRP goes up (price protection) and other dealers are passing on the additional costs to the buyer

I also bought a bighorn...price was $64.7k all in with fees

sounds like you have a dealer that is good to work with

yes I already asked about the price and possible increase and they said they have price assurance and if it does change i still pay the same, not really sure what that is but he wrote it on the agreement and initialed it.

I could not think of another place to ask this and I am sorry if its been asked before. Does anyone know of a GMC dealer thats good to work with? Something like what Mark Dodge does?

GM's ordering process is a lot more convoluted where sold orders (custom orders) are subject to an allocation/constraint process...FCA/Stellantis doesn't require a dealership to have an allocation for a specific model/trim in order for an order to be placed. Sure there are constraints on the stellantis side (think no night edition for Laramies) but that's a minor bump in the road.

There are a few GM dealers offering 1% below invoice, but their wait time is over a year or more

Depending on what you're wanting to buy, sticker price will be a deal in the current environment if you want something in the next 6 months

Ordered a Yukon and 2 Tahoes in Dec/Jan....Yukon and and one Tahoe still hasn't been accepted and the other Tahoe came in yesterday

It looks like another increase in pricing just recently happened on RAM's site? Anyone else notice this?

I submitted an order with Sandi yesterday. I first talked to her two weeks ago and when she sent my paperwork she said the price of my build went up $15. Then said don't worry about it and the price we agreed on is the price I will pay.

Huh. Earlier today I went on Ram and re-built my truck and the difference between now and when I placed my order (1/22/22) was over $3,000 more.

You think we have it bad here, I just talked to my friend in Australia. He went to the Ram dealer a couple of weeks ago to order a 2022 Laramie. The terms were, $167,000, 50% down, delivery in one year. That is $121,000 USD.

Thanks for the info. I ended up using Rob at Tuttle Click and he was great to work with.I received about the same discount. I live in Washington state so it's easier to fly down and pick it up. I will say that Mark Dodge does have some of the best pricing and they are too great to work with but when you add the shipping it came to about the same and driving it back would have taken me too long.
Can't wait till the new truck is in!

For you California folks, I ordered my Level 2 Power Wagon yesterday from Rob Trachtman at Tuttle Click Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Hyundai in Riverside and received about 7.2% off MSRP. He was easy to work with.
CAn't wait to meet with you for the new Ram. by the way we are in Irvine,

I saw it... I got one in a batch of 10 from a dealer that were identical except for color. ONE of them came in at 1800 bucks less than the others (I bought it) including one identical to mine. The dealer didn't know why. So, I've been "building" one online like mine every four or five days just to see. Mine was 63, 600. The others were like 65,200. I got mine in early March. Since, I've seen two roughly similar increases when I do the builds with the last one here a few days ago, maybe a week, now over 66K heading toward 67K soon I imagine. Now, I got a level D on my Laramie they no longer have as they now have level A back. The difference between D and A is that A has the power folding mirrors vs manual fold (mine). They didn't have them for awhile here a couple months ago so they did the level D. The difference is ONLY a few hundred bucks. Level A is better because of it. What a mess.

I have read that in the past, when there were price increases on SOLD orders, that the the dealer doesn't get that same price increase on what they paid. Do we know if that is still the case? Just got the window sticker on my order, and it's gone up ~$4k from when I ordered it. When the dealer tries to pass that increase along to me, I would like to know whether their cost increased, or if they are just trying to take advantage of the MSRP bump even though they locked in their price six months ago.

So why use that dealer? Mark Dodge in Louisiana isn’t all that far away. 11% under MSRP.

Not only 11% under but price protected once the order is placed.

Lakeland Dodge made me a deal a few dollars better than MD, not sure if your deposit is refundable, but it may be worth ordering from them, only a couple hours from Gainesville. Even if you can't get your deposit back, you probably still save money. Message me if you want details and contact info.

So i was indeed able to get pricing from Koons, much better than just MSRP from original dealer. Finalizing my order today. Thank you for the help and feedback. I certainly appreciate it.

Also due to the timing I was able to actually get the exact build I wanted to the exception of the blind spot detection. Something is up on that one.

This won't help your situation much....just a little background on what others have experienced

All depends on your dealer...most that have ordered from the volume dealers on here (Mark Dodge / Granger) haven't had to pay based on any increase...

The dealers are able to sell this way by applying for price protection when the order is placed...haven't seen on here exactly what a dealer has to do to apply and/or if there are additional costs involved...most seem to think there are additional costs. And supposedly it's a little bit of a hassle as well...to the point some have mentioned that their local dealers didn't even know about it - or at least acted that way. There have been dealers that were "advertising" on here, with price protection, that have since removed the price protection from their deals...and also some that never had it to begin with.

Even the dealers that have offered price protection have provided an initial POC that has a disclaimer at the bottom stating that "prices are subject to change"...which doesn't help you much...
