New Ram order delivery time

Hello to everyone; brand new member from New Mexico. Just retired and wanting to tour the U.S. and Canada with a Ram diesel cab&chassis/aluminum flatbed, pulling a 35' travel trailer.
Before I get "the wolves" (dealers) bombarding me with e-mails,I'd like to know approx. how long it takes to actually receive the truck once ordered. Anyone out there have any idea?
On another note,while optioning my truck on the Ram build site I couldn't find the power running board option for the 60" cab and chassis configuration. Does anyone know if it is available
for the cab and chassis? I was told by a dealer that the commercial truck dealer's order /option form is different than the build form on line. thanks a lot in advance!

Review the "stickies" in the General forum and get a good feel for what you should be paying for a factory order.

4-5 maybe even 6% below invoice is where the volume dealers are at. Don't get taken to the cleaners.

Delivery times are a crap shoot and dependent on model, trim, and if it goes to a vendor for accessories install. Expect ~4-5 months at present. Could be less, could be more.
 
Hey Mad Irishman! thanks so much for the info. From what I understand,I have to place my order for a cab and chassis through a "commercial"dealer? You know anything about Larry H. Miller dealership in Denver? They are fairly close to us here in southern N.M.
 
Hi, new to the forum I am from Arvada, CO. I've ordered a 3500 Longhorn. Is there a tracker in this forum?
