I will 100% lose this thing or leave it in the car and have it stolen. Plus it gives me a massive bulge

It’s not possible, at all, to change to a “key start” ignition on the 2019+ Rams.I will 100% lose this thing or leave it in the car and have it stolen. Plus it gives me a massive bulge
You can lock the fob in the car!!!!! I parked the car at my sisters house and went inside. My son went back to the truck to get something from the front seat and I assume as he was climbing out he hit the lock button and closed the door. My tradesman doesn’t have proximity as I said before so there is also not a push button lock on the outside.I can't help you with losing the key but you could lose any key so you'll have to deal with that no matter what. You cannot lock the keyfob in the car, it won't lock from the outside if the fob is inside.
As far a switching to regular key, it might be possible because I went from a key to the keyless so I assume the reverse may be possible? It will certainly require some parts and programming the BCM.

On a 2019+ Ram, no matter what trim level or whether or not it has proximity locks, the situation you describe is not possible. If it happened, there is an issue with your fobik safe feature. The only way to lock the keys in the car is either- manually push the door locks down on each door, attempt to lock the fob in the truck 3 times in a row, or when the truck is in remote start mode. You can lock the fob in the car!!!!! no argument Jimmy. I don’t know how or why it happened. I just know the local sheriff’s department had to come open the door for me. I figured it was because I did not have proximity for the locks. I figure he hit the door lock on the door panel when he was climbing out. He was 7 at the time not know the fob was on the dash.On a 2019+ Ram, no matter what trim level or whether or not it has proximity locks, the situation you describe is not possible.
