2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I picked up mine up Monday also missing them dealers say they were told they don’t come with them on 22’s no other reason.
I filed a claim with FCA was told today sorry they are not part of the package no reason just don’t come on 22’s
so even though the build sheet says rear inner wheel liners you only get 60% of the inner wheel liners
Really, $100k truck & they don’t think you should get a Full Wheel-Well Liner! Bull $hit! If mine doesn’t come with them, the dealer better help me order the parts & at the Very Least, nothing more then their cost!!!

Dave…

Especially with the parts shortage. Maybe the dealer could offer to buy you an extension on top any warranty you decide to purchase.

Call up an insurance appraiser, and have them take a look at the documents on the initial damage, then go from there. Compensation should be on the table, the dealer messed up by not notifying you right away, but then again did it just get delivered…or did it sit at a yard for awhile? At any rate, it needs to be talked about with cool heads.

Buyers are waiting months for trucks. It's a sellers market. Why would they offer any compensation? If the truck wasn't a customer order it would be repaired and sold.

I hear you it’s disappointing good luck
I’m just going to order some when available

When you walk onto a lot and buy a truck, you walk around the truck and check everything out before you even decide to buy the truck and once you do decide to buy that truck, you are agreeing to buy that very truck you just looked over and decided to purchase as is. When special ordering a truck, you are not agreeing to take a truck on the lot that has been through whatever and whoever while being on that lot until you came along. You are expecting to have a brand new truck straight off the assembly line. Who even knows what other type of down the road issues one could have from a jolt like that to possibly even the electronics of the truck? Would you want to buy a brand new cell phone that had been dropped? And later fixed to look like it had never been dropped? Just my thoughts. Also, just the fact that they never said anything when asked about status of truck, knowing that the truck had come in damaged, is just wrong on every level.

I tried the United Road search for Dennis Dillon but I did not find your VIN. Did you go through their website and get the order #

Once they fix that truck you could walk around it not be able to tell it was repaired. Apparently you know more about the customer order rules than I do. Until you purchase the truck it belongs to the dealer/manufacturer and they can do whatever they want. Your choice to buy it or not. Hopefully the dealer works with the buyer and everyone is happy.

Sorry. I was not speaking from a legal standpoint. I was only referring to expectations one has when special ordering v buying off a lot, honesty and the rightfulness of some compensation, no matter if it is a sellers market. I hope it all works out for the better, as well. I was not trying to be a know it all.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. Good to hear a lot of the OG’s are still here!
I’m lovin my truck! Have 3383 miles on it so far and picked it up middle of January.
For all that are doing the hard wait, well it’s worth every second!
Thanks for checking in Ty. Believe it or not, it was you who pointed me to MD, specifically Renae, and she has been superb all the way thus far.

I have still not received my Dec order, but 'tis built and should be shipping soon.

Seriously, thanks for stopping by and saying hello as well as giving the bode of confidence to US that:
we will receive our Rams
the wait WILL be over,
and we'll love the truck and forget about this wait all at the same time.

Glad to hear you are enjoying yours. ga ahead brah, post pics.

I’m fairly new here but still glad you stopped in. I can totally relate to the love you have for your 06 and your new truck and it being worth the wait. I too had an awesome 06 Ram dually and it was the best truck I ever had or knew until I got my 2020 Ram 1500 after not having a truck for about 9 years. I did not think I needed any heavier of a truck until a few months after purchasing it and started thinking of all that i now can do again having a truck. Well you know how that goes, if you are anything like me! One trailer led to another and then a 5th wheel. Well now I am here with all these guys and gals waiting the wait. Looking forward to hearing the sound of that Cummins diesel again. Ain’t nothing like it. Along the way Ram has had some growing pains but one thing I can say from experience IMO. Every new model change( at least the ones I have had ) superseded it’s earlier model. If I had one gripe or issue with a past truck, that next model, Ram had exceeded my expectations and when it came to the 06 Ram, 110k miles later and not one issue, I felt the same way as it sounds like you do about yours. Happy trails. Enjoy that new truck.

No, you’re right… that just reminded me of what my friend told us about shopping for Denalis. He found his DRW, but there was a dealer here in Jax trying to sell a GMC with a hood that had been hit by a fork lift for $80k.

The only thing, and MD associates told me this as well, is a reputation that is on the line. Dealers that screw over their customers eventually lose business because word spreads. A few negative reviews here with positive reviews from a dealer maybe another couple hundred miles away mean losing business.

That’s how I see it to, so I don’t think you’re out of line. The truck will sell regardless, I just feel that if I order a truck, I expect to be (other than staff) the only consumer to ever drive the thing.

If anything I would say I am more exposed to what could go wrong with transporting vehicles now, as before coming here I never would’ve thought about considering collision repair when buying a new truck.

Hey guy… you still in JS, or did you finally get your estimate on shipping? I’ll be picking up Tuesday, so it will happen, you WILL get your truck.

Have you bounced your build off that list of parts shortage and seen any correlation? I was wondering if there wasn’t a couple items that were thrown on my truck AFTER plant assembly because they weren’t immediately available. I know that vendors get their work don’t after assembly, but I’m thinking there could be things on back order that a truck just sits waiting on. That sounds counterproductive seeing as how the point of D to D1 is ALL parts gathered, but what if it’s more “all parts have been accounted for”?

You, Dova, and I are tracking for Tuesday. I’ll be in around 1100 to pick up a similar build.
