2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

After 295 days, the truck is at the dealer and am taking delivery tonight! Will post pics later but a special thanks to brv10 who helped with getting me information that kept me partially sane.

It took 14 days exactly from shipping to dealer. Here is hoping it’s what I ordered.

Congrats! 10 months?!? I don't think I have that in me.

Well, here’s an update that I hope nobody else needs to deal with. Here’s my new truck, complete with the “damaged in transit” package.

If there’s any silver lining to the dealer waiting 10 days to (not) tell me it arrived, it’s that they have already received most of the parts needed for the repair. I’m very frustrated, and I’m concerned about how hard it got hit in the rear too. I hate to say it but I may walk from the truck.
I’d be frustrated too but given the wait on a new truck I’d have a hard time walking away at this point. I would take delivery if they are 100% transparent in regard to the repairs. Document and show you everything that was damaged and went into getting it back to new. Just my opinion

Is there any way to locate my truck it should be in salt lake by now but I can't find an info on it

I would take a good look at the end of the frame for damage. However with the light weight material that todays bumpers are made of they a far more cosmetic that anything. It don't take much to bend one like that when you put the fact that the vehicle weighs in over 7K and most likely another truck hit it on the train. So if it no more than the bumper and trimming then I would see no issue taking the truck and being very pleased with it. When mine came in it had no damage but another on the same transport had been damaged. Both front and rear bumpers. JMO

Well my truck arrived at the dealer this morning. I will be picking up tomorrow morning. Thank you everyone in the group for the info and help with tracking and understanding the process.

Ordered 2/8 2500 limited mega cab delivered to the dealer 4/15

I thought is was a good combo. Now I need to find a locking fuel door.

Check these out… backordered though.

What was wrong about it? Just curious if it was their mistake, or a mistaken package, etc.
When you build on the website there is an option for a 22 gal fuel tank in addition to the standard 52 gallon. This is a gasser. When you choose both tanks it defaults to a diesel. There is another option choice for a 22 gallon tank.
I figured it was a replacement for the 52 gallon but the site and dealer had no clue. They checked with Stellantis rep and was told it was in addition to the 52 gallon tank. I told them to leave it on order if they were sure it was in addition to, and not instead of the 52 gallon tank. Turns out I was correct. Why would anyone want and why do they offer just a 22 gallon tank. I was really hoping I was wrong as both tanks would be great. I'll take the 52 but not a 22 gallon. So the dealer was surprised it came in with just the 22 gallon tank and said they'd reorder. Bummer that I've got to wait again.

Not sure if this was mentioned before on the forums, but if you have the wireless charger you HAVE to pair your phone for the charger to work. I couldn’t get the charger to work initially and made the techs at the dealer aware and that is when it was discovered that pairing your phone activated the charging pad

I noticed the rear wheel liner is missing a center piece. It appears it should just be a snap in. Without it, mud and snow is going to get behind the existing plastic.

Dealer says this piece is removed from the build when the truck has the auto level rear suspension because it can interfere with the air lift sensors. Same issue on both sides.

I say the sensor has plenty of room and give me my plastic insert. But hes telling me it is not available as a stand alone part.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a part number for that middle piece of plastic, or aftermarket options?

Read through this thread, it’ll explain everything.

Especially with the parts shortage. Maybe the dealer could offer to buy you an extension on top any warranty you decide to purchase.

Call up an insurance appraiser, and have them take a look at the documents on the initial damage, then go from there. Compensation should be on the table, the dealer messed up by not notifying you right away, but then again did it just get delivered…or did it sit at a yard for awhile? At any rate, it needs to be talked about with cool heads.

I picked up mine up Monday also missing them dealers say they were told they don’t come with them on 22’s no other reason.
I filed a claim with FCA was told today sorry they are not part of the package no reason just don’t come on 22’s
so even though the build sheet says rear inner wheel liners you only get 60% of the inner wheel liners
