Metal Shroud / Heat Tape (Muffler)

On my 22 2500 it have a metal shroud / heat tape on the front of the muffler. I am contemplating removing the muffler but want to check with others who removed the muffler. Looking forward to your input.

There is no muffler on these trucks just a DPF and SCR what you are picturing is the SCR (where DEF is sprayed)

What are you doing to the truck? I don't see a driveline installed?

Oh my gosh. It was definitely one of the better upgrades. We have quite a bit of travel upcoming this summer amongst different states so it’ll be nice to capitalize on the lower fuel costs outside of California.
