TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

I personally have no knowledge yet of the after the build add on

Rich:
Great job finding this. I've been looking...
That does look like the sensor kit part number for the TTPMS. But before buying, I was wondering if this might come bagged with the new truck after ordering XG9 option - like the GMCs do.
The other thing that needs uncovering is, do these fit the valve stem hole on your trailer wheels?? Some are different. My Fifth has steel valve stems on 17.5" alloy wheels rated at 125lbs. Haven't measured the hole diameter yet. I hope they fit because so far, this is the only kit I've run across.

I'll send the link over, these are not the simple screw on types, like I had hoped, you will have to take off trailer wheels an have valve stems replaced with these wich are like ones on your truck. I'm almost positive they don't come with the build just like cam pkg don't come with the aux cam addition pkg. I believe

I imagine the trailer dealer would need to install since we're talking replacing the valve stems. That is unless a tire retailer like Discount Tire can do trailers/5th wheels.

I just plan on taking wheels off of same axle across an taking them into any tire shop, I think it's an easy instal with the right equipment.

Just to clarify, you installed the XFQ TTPMS yourself? Where did you get the tire sensors and how much please?
XFQ is the Trailer Aux Camera option.
XG9 is the TTPMS for the truck

Don't turn this into a bad game of telephone getting things mixed up. It sucks for people searching or trying to figure this stuff out.

34% off. Wonder if we order if they can add software into truck to manage them for those of us who ordered last summer? Do we know that?

It's not just software and turning it on.

At a minimum, there's a TTPMS receiver plugged into the rear bumper harness. Reports also indicate there's a harness and sensor in the rear of the headliner in cab.

That headliner part, if true, could be the blocker to getting this dealer installed. At this point, nobody has gotten an answer from FCA.

If someone with access to Tech Authority could look into the parts and wiring (differences?) I think the answer is there.

I'll also add a point I've made in another post: The system is a 433Mhz TPMS system so any 433Mhz tire sensor *should* pair, great for folks (like me) that already have a system using 433Mhz parts.

If you want screw on and not passthrough, you might try finding someone local willing to let you try their sensor.

I have screw on, but they're a pain if you have to fill the tire. That said, my Goodyear Endurance tires generally only need a minimal top off in the spring after sitting. These tires outgas way less than anything I've ever had before.

That said, screw on sensors may also require metal valve stems so if you don't already have those, you still need to pull the wheels and have something installed. I've been running with brass core rubber press in stems but only 80psi tires and lightweight TPMS sensors on my RV and haven't had any issues. My mistake when I asked for metal with the new tire install, I didn't check and they were only high pressure rubber stems. When I got my boat trailer tires replaced, they put in the bolt on metal stems. LOL, those tires are only 50psi max.

Yup

I prefer the screw on type. Even though its a small inconvenience when airing as you have to back off a single nut . If you don't plan on keeping your trailer for long term, like myself, i plan on trading in my fifth wheel in 2yrs. So this means i have to take all my wheels off now have them installed an before i trade in take them all back off again to be removed. For me it's personally allot less work to back off a nut to air.

Has anyone managed to get/order the tire censors yet?
I checked with my local dealer and they informed me thy are on back order with no idea when the will be available.

Here is a link to the Mopar/Ram part # 68433188AA

I then turned around and called (for S&J's) a local Ford Dealer (Please don't shoot me for that) and he gave a some part numbers for their system:
Their complete system Pant # HC3Z1A189C
And just the Censors, Part # HC3Z1A189D
No idea if they are compatible with Ram or not?

I then called Schrader Aftermarket (a TPMS Manufacturer) and they informed me they didn't have anything available as of yet for the US but had something for the Europe and Ireland market that worked on the 433 Mhz range. It would transmit Tire Pressure and Tire Temperature information. However, he didn't have any part numbers available. He did also mention that most of the European and Ireland market uses the 433 Mhz systems.

I really would like to find a Ram Part Number unit that wasn't on back order if they are truly gong to work in my new truck that is coming in.

Try these, send them back if they don't work. I have a Tireminder system and these are lightweight and work well enough.

You are probably aware, but make sure you match the metals with your valve stems to avoid galvanic corrosion.

Here's a 4-pack with the monitor cheaper per wheel. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797N22B7/ref=twister_B07TYW37K1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I was told by Schrader Aftermarket that not just any 433 Mhz censor would work, They had to be able to transmit a longer range than most of the ones already on the market to be seen properly by the truck. Who knows, I'm not an Engineer.

That's possible.

I have a repeater on my system mounted on my RV, so if the after build option ever surfaces, I'm hoping it will work with the factory TTPMS.

Have you tried any of the big online part sellers? These are mostly big dealers with a healthy online sales program.

I called most of the ones I listed in the link above and got the same answers. as well as local parts stores to see if they had any cross reference chart to the Mopar/Ram part number.

the tire minders are what I currently use on my fiver an they have worked great for me. I have a feeling this is not going to be a good time for ordering after market accessories with all that's going on. I already got another email about a lund hood defender that's quit producing.

I am hoping that the new compressor I just ordered doesn't get delayed......upgraded the shop and needs it to run the tire machine more effectively.
