Made it home this morning after a long drive from Lake Charles back to Alabama. Very happy with the truck and it was definitely worth the wait. It did about shake the fillings out of my teeth on a few of those concrete bridges in Louisiana and Mississippi. I'm sure it will improve once we get it loaded down with the trailer.
Aaron bent over backwards to get me the truck on my schedule. My flight arrived after closing time, but he offered to stay late and pick me up from the airport. I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the truck however. It was absolutely filthy, especially the glass and mirrors. It looked like it might have been sprayed off, but not actually washed. It was very dirty inside and out. I'm sure they probably got busy and had to do a rush job. The guy that picked me up did apologize for not having it in better condition. Other than that, Mark Dodge runs a great show and I'd definitely buy from them again.
Oh, and much to my surprise, I averaged 18.6 MPG on the way home (hand calculated). The computer showed 18.9. Pretty decent for an unbroken in HO I believe.
A couple of shots after 3 hours of cleaning . . .
