Photos of your ride are mandatory. ;-)I bought my first Ram 3500 Laramie Crew cab long bed dually last Sept. Now I am 7 months into driving it and have 13k miles on it. Still learning learning all the features on it. Currently in the North Texas area.
Thanks for the welcome. Spent a fair bit of time in San Antonio. Wife is an Air Force brat that grew up around the Randolph. Will probably using the 3500 to pull the 5th wheel down that way to visit family at some point.Howdy from San Antonio! Glad to have you here!
If I can get the truck over being camera shy and find a good place to give it a bath I will see if I can get a couple. I have one picture of it when I had just brought it home from the dealership and it only had 45 miles on it. It got to meet the vehicle that it was replacing and you could feel the tention between the two. I was lucky a fight didnt break out between the two!! LOLPhotos of your ride are mandatory. ;-)
The towing capacity is one of the points I was looking for. My wife and I have taken up RV living since both of us can work remotely. We figured if we can work anywhere we have an internet connection why not have a look about and see some of the things that are missed by many people flocking to the tourist traps. The 5th wheel that we bought has a GVWR of 14,500 so it will be interesting to see what kind of mileage it gets when I am pulling that. I am kind of wondering about what kind of mileage I should be getting. I will admit that my Z4 kind of made me a fast driver and currently in city driving I am getting about 14.5 to 14.9 mileage. The economy computer on the truck drives me crazy because it says I'm getting 16.5 to 17.5mpg. I know everyone says those things are junk but my wife's jeep has a economy computer and its very accurate. I know a couple of others that have them and theirs is pretty spot on. So what is up with mine being that far off. There has to be a way to get the calibration on the silly thing right!Good choice..these things pull like a freight train…just completed 6000 mile trip pulling approximately 10,500# through flatlands and mountains hardly knew load was back there ‘crept for fuel mileage.
I tell ya, it really is a small world ain’t it?Thanks for the welcome. Spent a fair bit of time in San Antonio. Wife is an Air Force brat that grew up around the Randolph. Will probably using the 3500 to pull the 5th wheel down that way to visit family at some point.
I use to be a bimmer owner. My '08 Z4 had to go away when I got the 3500. I do miss being able to put the top down on nice days and being able to move my toe and 1/8th of an inch and leave some stupid drive on 635 far behind. Was a huge change going from a Z4 to a truck that the Z would fit in the bed of!I tell ya, it really is a small world ain’t it?
I am retired Army myself (22 yrs). We lived in UC for years. We made the move out to LaVernia last year and really enjoy it out here.
I see you’re a Bimmer owner, too. I like the E85/86; beautiful design and great chassis IMO. I currently have an E90 330i/6MT, and previously had an E82 135i/DCT. Fun cars!
