2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

All you guys with the DRW trucks need to stop hogging all the space on the car haulers going to Mark Dodge :)

My truck is sitting patiently at Port Allen waiting on a ride . . .
hogging! I think us DRW orders are the scraps that get picked over after all the SRWs are gone

I feel when I contact Ram Chat, that every time I get Jen Psaki. I get no real answers and they beat around the bush. Ordering a truck is so frustrating, you'd think it should be a pleasurable experience, but this waiting is killing me. I know I am not the longest waiting customer, but when u get a build date 0f 3/22 and then they pull the rug out from under you and move it to May, that's what gets irritating. I have been searching hard within a 300 mile radius for a truck, but so far I am not successful. I have a few trips planned to pull a camper in May and wont see my truck till probably mid June. That's if there are no more delays.

I guess this thread/forum is kind of our support group and @brv10 and @OfficerDirtySanchez are our therapists. Without it/them, there's be a lot of basket cases out there wondering when we're getting our trucks.
Haha this is truth.
I've kinda got a game going.
I've got a deer being mounted (been waiting on that since October 2021), I've got a suppressor waiting on paper work (been waiting since July 2021), we are in the middle of having our pool remodeled and re plastered (we are on week 11 of a 6 week estimate), and we have this truck waiting to be delivered.

I'm almost to the point of making bets with my wife and kids about which one will come to fruition first. They'll probably all happen at the same time.

Salesman sent me a couple pics today. When I spoke with him this morning, I mentioned I didn't want their logo on the back. Get the pics and see their logo on the mud flaps, which lead me to a two part question.

1. Does the truck come with mud flaps?
a.. If no, does that mean they drilled into my truck to add them
b. If yes, is that big logo glued on or would they drill/rivet it on?
1. It depends... Some dealers install them, possible due to state laws (idk). For example, Mark Dodge installs them, branded. (no drilling)
a. Some options on the market require drilling, some do not.
b. If you are speaking about the weighted branding "chrome plates" they are riveted onto the mudflap.

There is a large thread here which discusses all that is Mud Flap here;

(I took off the MD branded mud flaps and installed Duraflaps)

Hope that helps.

Is there a community-developed PDI checklist anywhere by chance, so that we can double-check some of the issues people have been seeing?
Someone graciously started a thread with a checklist the other day here;

Another thing I did was I printed out my equipment list and window sticker and used that.

Two observations many have made that are worth mentioning;

1. Tire inflation - Truck ship with tires over-inflated, check that...
2. Fuses not properly seated, check that too. This could have been the culprit for issues in a couple of instances. One in particular was the amp, and noise cancellation issues. Mine were not "fully" seated across the board. I state "fully because there seems to be a "double click" behavior tot he fuses, so not sure honestly, nonetheless MD mechanics agreed, push them all the way down, the second click.

Those are both on that checklist.

Added the mud flaps as a question to ask dealer.

It could be worse!

Agree. Had the same 2 things when I picked up at MD. The tires were all >83 psi and ALL the fuses needed to be pushed all the way in.

After that a full walk around looking at all body parts interior and exterior along with pairing your phone and learning the controls covers a significant majority of the checklist items.

All my fuses were a good 1/8th inch above seated, which is weird because all the trucks I work on are seated, maybe a 22 thing?

Hmm…I see, and how does that make you feel?

How can it be worse? When truck is built, it will be at the 16 week mark, that's still not shipped to my dealer at that point. I was told 12-16 weeks to receive it when I ordered.
It took 6 months from order date to arrival at dealership for my 22 RAM 2500 Laramie 6.4 8' bed. Ram cares and the dealership were not a lot of help. Truck sat in Baltimore 6 weeks waiting for a tractor to pull it to Pittsburgh. It was a long frustrating wait, but we really like it so far.

I waited 6 months for mine. Good Luck

Concerning the mud flaps...the dealer branded ones are just that...they know most dually owners will want to install mudflaps at some point (may be required due to your state laws) so they figure the majority of buyers will just leave them on giving the dealer that additional bit of advertisement...i've always left them on and generally they aren't too obtrusive...not sure how long i'll leave the MD ones on...the "Mark" stands out a little much
