2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

There are generally 3 delays when ordering that can't be predicted or a time placed on them, the time from order date to I status, time spent at the vendor if it goes there or time waiting for a train to ship it on and the time from the last train to the truck for dealer delivery. These time always vary due to options, supply for the build or the vendors and truck availability and yard backlog, as the older orders slowly get completed it seems like the builds are getting quicker and more consistent for the most part, the vendor seems to have a back log for the time being as well as the truck yards. From what I am seeing for an overall average is we are doing better than the other two companies. Ok, discuss....

Agreed. On the whole, Ram is doing a lot better. Nowhere near perfect, but better. (Every time I say this I get crucified by someone )

Ran into a friend of mine over the weekend who has had a Chevy HD on order since July. His truck was built sometime in December but put in storage hold until they could complete the build - chips? Anyway, his truck was just delivered to the local rail yard here in MA.

I ordered my 2022 longhorn July 29th and drove it off the dealer lot November 29th. I thought that was pretty fair considering all of the parts supply and shipping issues everyone is experiencing. When I ordered my previous Ram 3500, I ordered it February of 2017 and drove it home end of March. I didn’t think a two month increase in the wait over the previous truck was all that terrible given what kind of shape our world is in right now.

Brv10 or anyone else, do you know if a dealer will be able to see tracking information that would be needed for me, the customer, to look it up via CSX, Union Pacific etc…? I asked my salesman and he said he doesn’t believe they have that information to give me. In his defense, he said he would have to check into it but he didn’t sound very confident. I just thought they would have that information since I have now gotten a dealer ETA.

Thanks

Ordered our 2022 Big Horn on Jan 29th, 2022 - I have been chatting with RAM once a week, usually on Friday. We went D1 around March 12, 2022, and got an estimated ship date around that time of April 2, 2022. The build sheet popped up on April 1, 2022, and the window sticker came up on April 2, 2022. I have read that I can track the progress with a railcar number - where do I find that?

VIN 3C6UR5DJ3NG266436

175 is bad, 90 is pretty good considering the issues of today and the shipping from Mexico, I have never in my 61 years had an ordered vehicle delivered in less the 90 that were built in the US.
I know of one built and delivered in 6 weeks, one in 8 and one that is built in 4 waiting to be shipped..

Has anyone been having issues pulling up towing and payload information from https://www.ramtrucks.com/towing/towing-guide.html#/landing/bytowing ? I’ve had my window sticker for a week, but all I get when I try to put my VIN in and get payload information is “vin data not available”.

Weird thing is, it works for all the other trucks that got window stickers the same day mine did.
I get the same thing. My truck was built over a week ago and can't view payload or towing with the link. Looks like we both got a hemi. Tested some random VINS from the last couple weeks and only noticed the issue with a few tucks with hemis.
