2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

The spreadsheet only contains ship or build dates that you provide. At this point it is a waiting game to get you on the train. Keep on your dealer and Ram Chat for estimated delivery dates.
Does anyone update the estimated ship date that we provide at times? I noticed mine changed by a day from what I provided and what was in there a couple days ago. Estimated ship date was 4/28 from my dealer last week and now 4/27 on the sheet

It's all manual, could be a typo or miscommunication. Best is to add a comment in that cell or PM @OfficerDirtySanchez .

Question? since I have my VIN number and the last digits represent order of build at that factory? And it appears I am about 20k trucks out from looking at the spreadsheet info. Is it reasonable to assume I am about 20 days out at 1000 trucks per day?

If the VIN includes the build order.. then effectively its been scheduled just maybe not the exact day???

VIN sequence does not mean build order. But, it is in the scheduling phase and they are working on getting parts for your truck.

Not my point… if the dealer can’t provide what they promised even after a couple of months grace and if they would have said it would be 6/7 months, I would have waited and ordered the 2023. I don’t mind getting the 2023 in the spring 2023… not a biggie for me.
The dealer doesn't build the trucks or has to deal with anything but delivery, they can't help it.

There is no rhyme or reason as to the order of the builds. Parts, high volume dealers, did the line supervisor have a bad night? Who knows?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

And the guys who still wait who ordered back in 2021 and have seen trucks exactly like theirs built, that were ordered after them, and they still wait - there is no explanation!

See this today on the book of faces…

“Public service announcement:
Ford is getting ready to issue a recall on the following vehicles.

2021 and 2022 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks.

Ford believes these vehicles have a software error that could result in towed trailers being unable to brake.”

Uh oh, just saw the same on a FB ram group, chips?

Hope not. If it says "software error", then most likely just a bug and they need to reprogram. And, only applicable to the Fords.

That's a boat, going to the east coast.
I found this one in the Military RV'ing page. I did see something a day or two ago about chips and the resources that are used to make them dropping off due to the war in Ukraine. I'm not sure, "they" mention a software issue, which would point to programming, but the rumor was they were stopping production, could be until this recall addresses the issue.

It's hard to say with tech being as small as it is, minor issues with software would cripple anything. If the chips aren't correct, the software logic won't operate correctly, but if it's only software it would just be a fix to the logic.

I am in the same status, I have been in it like 3-4 days, hopefully it moves along soon
Unfortunately not. I was in similar situation where I realized I had accidently ordered vinyl floor covering instead of carpet and I was in D1 status which means all parts are accounted for and I think your next step is build. She did give me the option to cancel my order and reorder but I didn't want to set myself back another possible 16 weeks.
My wifes F150 has vinyl flooring we love it out here in the boonies so i did the same with my Ram order cant wait to see how she comes out.
