Removing aux switch connectors from fuse box

Anyone know how to remove the two aux switch connectors from the fuse box to which they are mounted? Ive pressed the tab that the needle nose are pointing to in the pic, and that loosened things up a bit, but not enough to free them completely. Any ideas?

Tried that, no joy.

maybe just stuck..? you squeeze tab inward and it pops off. it is kind of tight fitted.

Two questions;
1) squeeae tab inward, as it tab towards the firewall?
2) it pops off meaning that it does not slide up & off? Just squeeze tab and pop it off, presumably towards the firewall? Definitely feels like it has to slide up to disconnect.

I think I just pressed down the tab and pulled them apart. Haven't done it in a while.

There's probably one here buried in a thread somewhere but I don't have time to look.

My internet modem crapped out so I'm off to the internet modem store for a replacement.

The tab definitely gets pressed towards rear of truck, then the assembly lifts up. I am now realizing that the wires leading into the aux connectors might be the issue. I think they are what is stopping the assembly from moving more than 3/8” upwards.
If I cant get them out of the way I am going to have a hell of a time accessing the clutch block off

4ga amplifier power wire

Want to remove the block off so I can drill through it at a proper 90degrees, install a grommet and then put it back in place.

Having no access to the block off plate just yet, does anyone know how thick it is?
