2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Railcar with my truck was "placed at industry" at 1232 PM today. Current status is "held to unload". Now another wait with no visibility until it catches a truck ride and shows up at the dealer.

I’m glad it will be sitting over in LA vice MX, it’s just one less leg to worry about. I don’t know about you, but I do have some time to wait.

Yeah, I feel like the closer it gets to the dealer, the less opportunity for someone to damage it as well. I could wait a bit longer, but I don't want to :p

I just checked, I’m two days from my 20 week mark. It could be worse, so I won’t complain, I still got to declutter my plate a bit.

I probably jumped the gun a bit by selling our 2nd vehicle before I placed the order. I didn't think it was really going to take 25 weeks to take delivery and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to sell at a great price.

I bet, we lucked out and Geico totaled our Cooper for what we paid into it, so instead of trading in the Pacifica the wife wants to use those funds to refi her vic.

Like I told you earlier, my buddy and I will be making a road trip to Ft Hood to drop off the ‘06 when I do get around to picking up the ‘22.

Everything is kind of pending an injector getting put in the mail so I can get this boat sold and off my plate.

Picked up my truck today at MD - 7 months to the day I ordered. It's been a really long wait but worth it. This forum has been a very valuable source of info for me. Most of all I learned that to save my sanity I would not contact Ram chat. A special thanks to @brv10 for providing a few updates in between reaching out to Sandi and Aaron at MD for updates. Based on everyone else's feedback in contacting Ram chat I would have have come unglued so resisted the urge to do so. Also special thanks to @OfficerDirtySanchez for maintaining the tracking list and @Brutal_HO for throwing the penalty flag when needed to keep us all in line. I really appreciate the useful info based on real life experiences that many contribute.

As for the truck - 3500 Laramie HO CC SRW Long bed, it drives great! It definitely rides better than my 2013 2500. My boys are on spring break so we taking 3-4 days as a family to drive back to Illinois. Everyone at MD was as fantastic as everyone else here has mentioned. It's a nice touch when the General Manager Randy comes out to talk to you for a couple minutes. For anyone on the fence about ordering a truck 1000 miles away from where you live...... MD makes the process very smooth and I would order another truck from them in a heartbeat.
I ordered a SRW long bed on June 26th and I think it is in transit. At the 22 week mark I cancelled and ordered a DRW since it seemed like the SRW long bed was the holdup. The DRW I ordered 12/13 shipped about 5 weeks before the SRW.

Do you happen to have the sales code from the build sheet? I'll send to MD to see if the change will be accepted by Stellanis

Edit - looks like it's AAN, have asked the question of Tony, will see what the outcome is.

So spoke with Tony @ MD, ADK cant be added without starting from scratch, and since there has been a price increase, so its another $3k ontop of the Surround view. Not happy but also not keen to add another $3k just for that.

Only other unusal thing of note, is that he mentioned a VIN hasnt been issued (only have the VON),, ordered 16-17th of March. but other orders after that date are also showing VIN's.

Well I may be ordering my truck again. Dealer is looking into what they can do. So this truck may be available for someone to buy if we can't make this one work for me.
I suspected this would be a problem when I ordered, but I was assured that it would come as desired.
When building online the website shows option of 52 & 22 gallon fuel tank. There is also a choice of 22 gallon tank. The 52 & 22 defaults to a diesel. I was concerned the 22 option would be in place of the standard 52 gallon tank and not in addition to it. Turns out I was correct despite the Stellantis rep telling the dealer that it was in addition to and not in place of.
I hate it when I'm right.
I doubt they can add the 52 gallon tank as that would entail plumbing, electric, evap and software changes. Seems like a large undertaking. The 52 is a rear mount and the 22 midship.
I don't know why they wouldn't allow both in a gasser.View attachment 34828
Heard from Sandi we need to reorder. So this truck is sitting at MD waiting for someone to buy it.

Ordered 3/10, D on 3/17, and then RamChat told me it had been scheduled for production and should be entering the build process shortly on 3/25. Contacted MD and Renea showed D1 on my POC, but oddly no date. I spoke with her today and she told me confirmed D1 with ship date of 5/2, but that was a ship date to the next step of the build process (the actual build), not a ship date to me. Baby steps, one at time…but one step closer to it being done!

Still waiting for big horn 3500 srw diesel, ordered September 13, dealer knows nothing! Canadian order.
I feel ya brother .... Canadian order here and I'm only slightly ahead of you. October 9th order. Sitting in a rail yard 3 km away .....

Has anyone had their truck get built before the estimated/scheduled build date? Mine just got pushed back almost 2 months and that may be an issue with some trips in June. I am hoping it will randomly get built prior to the new build date of 5/16. Wishful thinking???

At least looking at the configurator, if you leave the engine set as the 6.4 on the cab and chassis, then when you select the 52 & 22 tank option it auto updates to include the Cummins, Aisin, etc. So it looks like the dual tank option is only available with the diesel. My guess would be it has something to do with the total volume of fuel and gasoline being more kaboomy than diesel when stored in a tank and transported. Just a guess. I'm waiting on a 3500 Crew Cab Chassis setup much like yours, but white + cummins. Ordered 2/24 - probably a ways to go still - but dual tanks or not, that's a great looking truck.
